Would it be nice if all Battlefield 1. has dedicated server (player hosted) 2. released map editor 3. support Steam Workshop 4. has state of the art graphics like Unreal Engine 4 5. has round progression system like in Dota 2 or League of Legends where you can level up within a round 6. has continuous support instead of releasing new games every year (like Counterstrike : GO)
What do you think Battlefield should have but currently missing?
Would you buy a game that similar to Battlefield but with all those points above implemented?
Im doing a study on what Battlefield fans would want. You might see this post in other forum.
Maybe the responds from this post could drive EA to change its business practice or other game developer could take advantage and develop what people really wants.

1. Yup 2, 3, 5. Dont care 4. I consider Frostbite to be one of the best already 6. Prefer a major release every few years so that there's something shiny and new to look forward to.

when BF series started it used to allow player hosting, but due EA's fears of hacks etc, thats why since BF4 they have limited the source to only trusted providers. round progression, i dont really care much for it. continuous support? not with new frostbite every couple yrs anyway, BF series are usually every 2 yrs...with in-between fillers like hardline.

I dont believe that dedicated server is absent because of hacks. Its all about Benjamin. Are you saying that, with trusted providers, there are no cheaters? Anyway, thanks for voicing your opinion.

Anyway, thanks for voicing your opinion. i was admin before on EASG so ya, i kinda saw what could have been done. not to say there are no hacks, but no harm in making it harder for them to do.

QUOTE(publicENEMY @ Sep 22 2015, 02:13 PM) I dont believe that dedicated server is absent because of hacks. Its all about Benjamin. IMO it is about both. But not hacks in the sense of cheating, but hacks in the sense of piracy. It becomes that much easier for BF4 to be cracked and players playing for free on underground servers.

http://gamerant.com/battlefield-3-no-modding-tools/QUOTE the lack of Battlefield 3 mod support is because of two reasons. The first being that they’re afraid of hackers exploiting the code, the second because it’s a multiplatform title and they (inexplicably) want mods to work on consoles as well. of cos, the biggest loss that came about when EA stopped releasing codes was the death of the modding community. the same ones who gave us desert combat which the developers got bought by Dice and which eventually gave us BF2. so in return for the death of the modding community, EA gave us crap like Hardline.
