standard procedure is you go to the unit and handover and verify everything still in tact, your contract should have stated what was provided. but since they owe you so much money probably whatever deposit not enough to cover and you can't do anything about it.

So racist. I have experience with C tenants before so you can't stereotype. Worst ever tenant I encountered before. Have to chase frequently for rental, and give all sorts of excuses before they pay up, that also partially. They also raked up high electricity bills exceeding the half month utilities deposit, luckily I monitor regularly the bill. Had to resort to close the TNB account to disconnect power in order to stop the excessive bills which are still in my name. And to top it up they owe Ah Long money so my unit exterior was vandalised with spray paint.
