Where can i get drum tabs and how to read them?
Just a beginner so please help me out.

read a lot of piano scores, and work your way up from there...then slowly incorporate it to the drum parts

i got grade 7 for my theory... the drum tabs are the same a? same notes? how to diff the snare and cymbal notes? sorry i only knw how to play drums but duno how to read drum note... laugh.gif

errr... drum notation is not the same as piano. but its based on a similar timing notation. juz take a look at a couple websites, google.

Infact, I find it easier to look at my drum tabs than the piano tabs, maybe got used to it since I was kid already. blush.gif

Its not EXACTLY the same, but coming from a piano background i could adapt to the drum scores rather easily. Maybe thats me, but i find a lot of kids who have learnt piano doing the same as well. Time signatures, bars, notation, rest etc are all the same only difference is we're playing the bass clave. But based on the piano's rhythm you could roughly come up with a similar beat for the piece. Try out with "A dozen a day" for all the Yamaha students you will know what i mean.
