For those who have stayed at Club Med Cherating either Superior, Deluxe or Suite under the 4D3N package, some questions as follows :-

1) It was mentioned that there is unlimited flow of alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks, wines, cocktails, fresh juices servied in all day bar with finger food and light meals (excluding premium spirits, bottled wines & champagnes).
Question : What fresh juices do they serve, and are they REAL fresh juices as in freshly squeezed oranges or apples and not those boxed juices such as Marigold Peel Fresh juices. What exactly is "finger food & light meals" ? Is the bar open 24 hours or only at selected hours?

2) Is the breakfast or dinner selection good? Are there many options in terms of restaurants? Meaning, for breakfast or dinner, you can only go to 1 restaurant right? Or there are more restaurants for you to choose?

3) What are the interesting activities in Cherating? I notice basically it is land and water sports. What sports are worth doing other than squash and tennis? Has anyone tried sailing or flying trapeze, of rock climbing and adventure trekking in the jungle? Any other interesting activities worth exploring that are fun and not boring?

Thanks.

Just came back from Club Med Cherating yesterday.

1) real fresh juice is available during breakfast but not squeeze when you order. light meals are provided at noodle bar. i am not sure if the bar opens for 24 hours.

2) there are only 2 places for you to choose to have your lunch or dinner. breakfast, lunch and dinner are all buffet style. for breakfast and lunch it is quiet standard. as for dinner, menu are different (western, asian, mexican). u can also make dinner booking @ Rembulan (ala-carte) located about 10 mins (walk) or 5 mins (shuttle transport) from the main area.

3) whole lot of activities. archery, jungle walk (about an hour). you can try sailing, kayaking.

Timing couldn't be better. Thanks.

As long as it is fresh juice, then good.

So there are 2 restaurants we can choose to go for lunch or dinner. And for dinner, apart from the 2 restaurants, we can choose to go to Rembulan but with booking. So for dinner, there are actually 3 restaurants to choose from? If that is the case, is the food(for dinner) in Rembulan much better than the food in the other 2 restaurants? The dinner in Rembulan is included in the package right ie. free?

1 hour jungle walk. DO you find it fun or worthwhile? Will attempt to try sailing and kayaking but will surely get sun-burnt.

Volkswagen2 there are 2 restaurant to choose from 1 is Rembulan (with booking) and the other one without booking is located at the main area. Noodle bar opens from 14:00 to 16:00 and 21:00 to 23:00 (forgot operating hours). Dinner at Rembulan is FOC.

The road to Rembulan is dark at night (with limited lighting) so if you are travelling with small kids i suggest to go in the afternoon (afternoon is buffet; limited choice of food if compare to the one located at the main area).

Dinner at Rembulan is fine dining basically they have 2 choices for each starters, main and dessert so be prepared that choices will be limited.

Jungle walk is quiet fun and get ready for mosquito repellent.

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. Will see if my 2 teenage daughters would want to join the jungle walk.

Cheers.

Just came back from Club Med. They do have real fresh juice (orange juice only I believe) at the Mutiara restaurant. The ala carte food at Rembulan is not exactly great, but something special. However, I have to say the quality of the buffet food at the main restaurant in Mutiara, either lunch and dinner, is good. They do have quality control. From the main dishes to the dessert, all are rather good. The cocktails and mocktails at the bar centre were also rather nice (we particularly liked Margarita).

The Noodle House restaurant was a bit of a letdown though with mediocre to poor noodles. Taste a bit bland and they did not use any garlic or onion oil on the noodles, either dry or soup.

In terms of room services and activities, they are not exactly great. Didn't manage to try any water-sport activities but tried the archery and the gym. In the final 4th day, both my wife and myself including my daughters got sick of the food and skipped the lunch (we head back to KL after breakfast). The food is not the problem (it's good food) but we had too much of it for the past 4 days.
