How did you choose for this? "Have you made a complaint to your Service Provider?" I clicked "No" and I cannot proceed but the reality is I don't feel like going through TM and being replied with the general template. doh.gif

Can I just click "yes"?

Anyone?
*
Just click yes and in case they ask just say "I called them to make a complain but they never gave me a complain number" or you could try submitting a complain on occ.unifi.my

QUOTE(hafizhans @ Oct 18 2015, 01:27 PM)
go to TM asked, they insist me to upgrade instead of cancel n subscribe,
saying new subscription will need to pay advance payment n installation fee (maybe).
*
How about cancel from TM Point and aply through an agent ?

QUOTE(Netto Hikari @ Oct 18 2015, 03:18 PM)
the new package looks catchy but with 5mbps upload and no free calls. thats a dump.
*
If you're upgrading from prev Unifi packages you can get free calls but with 5Mbps upload though

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 18 2015, 03:24 PM)
Not all uses free calls, I never install the phone at all. smile.gif
I was from VIP 10 and reduced my upload speed to 5Mbps from 10Mbps. So far acceptable for me as most of the time I only use it to upload photos and email attachments. 5.5Mbps upload speed is enough for me. Yes, my Speedtest always shows 5.5Mbps for upload. smile.gif

For me, it is not a dump. Well, everyone has different preference. smile.gif

Exactly thumbup.gif

*
QUOTE(limjenson @ Oct 19 2015, 10:19 AM)
Wait. So if upgrade not eligible for Rm179 promo?
*
New install and upgrade both will get RM179 monthly + 6% gst for Unifi Adv 30 package

the only difference is new install will get brand new router/btu/hypptv/dect phone
upgrade will just upgrade the speed

even under contract can upgrade thumbup.gif

Ok thanks.  rclxms.gif

Upgrade is faster

but new installation need to wait for installation appointment
If you have DIR 615 I would recommend new installation

BTW for land property you can apply for new line before terminating old line
for highrise need to terminate before apply for a new one

Hi all,
i'm going to upgrade my streamyx to unifi.
but i got a question.
router and modem will be at the living room, but my tv is in room.
so can i put the set top box in my room? or it is a must to put near the router?
*
You can use wifi for HyppTv but that will use your 30Mb/s bandwidth sweat.gif

If you use LAN it will use a separate bandwidth that TM provides so it won't effect your 30Mb/s bandwidth

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Oct 19 2015, 11:14 AM)
In dilemma, found out that my devices is ageing. The Set-Top-Box seems lagging. Not too sure, whether to upgrade or cancel and retrieve the new equipments.
*
Better apply for a new one, the new STB is much better thumbup.gif

If your old router is DIR 615 then it is recommended getting new equipments

can i ask the installer to pull the modem into my room? is it connect by using the telephone line?
*
For that you'll need to purchase a longer LAN cable (which is quite cheap)

It is connected via LAN cable

Got a question. Can I upgrade my Unifi VIP 10 RM179 to the new 30Mbps RM179???
*
Yes can

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Oct 19 2015, 11:24 AM)
If I not mistaken, read it somewhere previously that we can opted to remain the same number? But my real concern is the downtime if the current package got cut, while waiting for the new one to come. Or is there anyway for me to get the new BTU / STB? Can anyone share their latest picture of the recent install equipments?
*
Yes, you can retain your old number if apply and terminate at the same time

If your house is land house you can apply for new package first and get them to install it then only terminate old package

Do we get to pick the numbers then? Strange enough, 100 told me that I'm not eligible to upgrade package that have a same value. For instance, my current package is VIP20 RM229, after RM20 discount, and I'm not allowed to go for Unifi Advance 30.
*
You can complain to SKMM about that, or if your contract is over you can simply terminate old line after your new line has been installed

QUOTE(XyDi @ Oct 19 2015, 11:37 AM)
FYI....i went to TM DU today. Wanted to terminate my VIP5 & register for the new UNIFI30...CS told me that i don't need to terminate my old line. Only when the new installation complete, i can then terminate it. I live in high rise (condo).
*
Well, that is great thumbup.gif

mine the orange/white router one, recommended new installation also?
*
Yes, you should get new installation as many users complain due to DIR 615 not able to handle 30Mb/s properly (I'm commenting regarding other users as I have not yet tested it myself)

I realized that there are some people managed to, can someone enlighten us which branch? As far as I know, Klang & Port Klang is not. Sad case.

You can refer to https://www.tm.com.my/OnlineHelp/TMPoint/Pages/Home.aspx
Try to find the nearest to you that is open on sat and sun or only sat depending on your schedule

QUOTE(Miracles @ Oct 19 2015, 11:59 AM)
Need help guys.

Last year, August, I just moved into a rented room. My ex housemate mentioned the unifi contract is about to expire and asked whether I would like to take of the ownership. Since I needed Internet for my work, I said yes.

Fast forwarded to today, am I still bound to the 2-year contract since I took over?

I wish to terminate my unifi. The only thing I see in T&C ownership transfer - "min 1 year contract" and not much info on the "Transfer Ownership Form".
*
The transfer of ownership doesn't renew the contract so it'll carry the old contract so most likely your contract should be already over

Hi guys. I am one the victims in this "early bird discount" fiasco.

Do I need to lodge a report to unifi first or should i just go straight to the SKMM complaint?

Btw, how can I make a complaint through the OCC portal? Can anyone teach me? Thanks.
*
Just direct complain to SKMM much easier

so need to add more for voice call right?
and does rm179 include the HyppTV?
*
RM20 for voice addon

Yes, Basic Aneka or Varnam pack is included in RM179 price

QUOTE(sk00 @ Oct 19 2015, 12:53 PM)
Does anyone with RG4332 Innatech Router subscribing to 30Mbps able to get full speed with this router?
*
For 30Mb/s can confirm get full speed but will depend on how far you're from router if using wifi and your wifi card etc etc

QUOTE(squall123456 @ Oct 19 2015, 12:54 PM)
Can existing customer request TM for upgrade equipment if the old 1 doesn't provide the full performance from 30mbps  rclxms.gif ?
I'm still using a 615  blush.gif
*
They will do the upgrade but they'll charge you for the router replacement

QUOTE(XyDi @ Oct 19 2015, 12:56 PM)
No advance payment or installation fees but CS told me there's additional fees for new registration but i forgot what it was. It should reflect in the new bill. Basically u do not need to pay anything up front.
*
It is basic (1 month current + 1 month advance)

Better apply through agent as they (me) provide one month cash rebate so the total is 1 month only

QUOTE(Flamelite @ Oct 19 2015, 12:59 PM)
Hello, so just recently was upgraded to Unifi 50mbs but when using wifi the download speed would be 26-28mbs and while using LAN cable it would be at 50+ mbs.. does anyone know what could be causing the problem?

btw still using the default router that tm gives from years ago when first install..
*
Which router are you using ?

thanks. my current stb is way older than your picture. let's see how skmm handles my issues, if not i will refer back to you all resellers. can you provide the menu screenshots as well? for the first time, skmm never replies my complaint as far as before, i bet they've received alot reports lol.
*
The main menu is the same as old one

The key differences are it is faster, can install apps directly from google play store, can install kodi etc can watch youtube thumbup.gif

sounds tempting, can we buy it directly and how much would it cost? i'm in still dilemma of my vip20, with discount rm20 at rm229

You can search garage sales or you can purchase directly from TM (not recommended though as the price will be higher)
