QUOTE(popice2u @ Mar 27 2017, 08:01 AM) if got 3 brothers, the rm1,500 is share by 3 (each rm500) or each rm1,500? it's up to you how you want to share the tax relief among your sibling, eg the eldest has the highest income bracket and pays the most to the parents expenses, he might claim all deduction, or he can claim 1/2 or 1/3 out of the 1500 tax relief , but the amount must be equally distributed. this is how it looks like in the e-filling page Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(kh_lim @ Mar 27 2017, 03:47 PM) May I know under what condition I can claim RM1,500 per parent? Is it must come from medical expenses we spend on our parent? Attached thumbnail(s)

dear lowyat sifus : if my company gave me car / petrol allowance for around rm2k/year and also handphone allowance of rm2k / year , both are shown in the EA form, are they both tax exempted under part B1 ?
If i bought handphone for wife with receipt under my name, but i already use up my quota for the lifestyle category, can she use the receipt for the tax exemption ?
