QUOTE(spreeeee @ Jan 18 2017, 03:16 PM) open a sspn account for kid last year Nov2016, pumped in 6K - so that coming income tax declaration can relief another 6k. question, when is the best time in between Jan-April to withdraw out all 6k, so that it is still eligible/qualified? Who said you can withdraw out 100%? The max you can withdraw out is rm500 a year. |

QUOTE(sunami @ Feb 14 2017, 02:30 PM) you have the account statement .... http://www.ptptn.gov.my/web/english/faq-en...sspn/withdrawalif you deduct tax..make sure you have the balance till lifetime..dunno when due... you can withdraw out..y cant?? just nid to topup..if lhdn ask for statement... is it your money.... Why cant you withdraw out? Its in the terms and condition , You can argue all you want but they have black and white of you agreeing to the terms when you open the account. If it was that simple everyone would have put the money in claim the 25% tax relief and then withdraw out and repeat for the following year. |

I'm confused, there are many sources claiming that you cannot withdraw out.
https://kclau.com/money-saving-tips/persona...tion-education/ QUOTE Withdrawal Withdrawal of savings can only be done after one (1) year of saving in the SSPN. The withdrawal of 10% of the balance in the account or RM500 (whichever is lower) once annually is allowed (after one year of becoming member). Withdrawal of up to 100% of the balance of the account is allowed if the beneficiary fulfills one of the following criteria: Is accepted to any government recognised IPT; Withdraws voluntarily from the education system or is terminated for specific reasons; Chronic illness with no hope of recovery with doctor’s certification; Permanent disability; or Death http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...education-pt-3/ QUOTE Withdrawing Your Money Unfortunately, withdrawing money from your SSPN account is not a simple task! Unlike normal savings accounts, SSPN has very strict rules when it comes to withdrawing your money. Depositors can only withdraw their money once a year, and the maximum amount that is allowed to be taken out is only RM 500 or 10% of your total savings. A 100% withdrawal will require either the beneficiary’s offer letter to local universities / colleges or a statement of the beneficiary ‘no longer wishing to participate in the educational process’; otherwise it is only possible in the event of the beneficiary’s / depositor’s death or incapacitation. |

QUOTE(rapple @ Feb 14 2017, 04:03 PM) [attachmentid=8486025] So you went in to the PTPN office and withdraw out all without proof that your children is uni etc?[attachmentid=8486007] 2016 [attachmentid=8486024] [attachmentid=8486008] 2017 Judge for yourself. Edit: As per PTPTN officer, the terms will be change from time to time so in future we might not be able to withdraw. Keep this in mind. |
