Oh well, it's that time of the year again when we have to file our tax returns.
This is a good thread. The broadband is something new for this year.
Want to ask, medical fee for parents can claim as relief right? Went to a private clinic, paid RM37. Can claim? The receipt is under my mother's name.

Also, I pay for my mom's medical insurance premium. Can claim this as relief as well under medical expenses for parents?
*
Q1 - Yes, If required have to show birth cert.

Q 2 = No, medical insurance = NOT medical expenses
*
If I cannot claim medical insurance as medical expenses, then can I claim under "Insurans pendidikan dan perubatan" (Education and medical insurance)? The policy is under my mom's name.

I don't think so.

You should have unique streamyx id, use that id to register an online account in TM website. I just log into my accs, can view the bills online as well as payment history & etc.

QUOTE(protonw @ Mar 9 2011, 11:21 AM)
This is a package TM with HP.  Previously I paid rm77/mth, (maybe rm88, cant remember)  then during HP fair, they encouraged me to pay rm99 for 2 years and can have a small compac PC which they called bundle. Since then, my bank will pay RM99 to HP (wonder what TM profit from this deal??? as I am already streamyx user.... hmm.gif )

Now really dont know should I claim rm500 or just forget about it...
*
@nemo2,

you login to which website? tmbill.tm.net.my? the TM cust service told me to login here where i can view my billings, but i can only see the past 3 mths.

@protonw, i also took the hp package, but mine is rm139 per mth.

so how ar? if income tax ppl come knocking can we just give them our streamyx id, and then cc statement to show that the amount is deducted from there?

My point is not about those suggestions but the explanation on the current relief/rebate.

His question is on medical insurance. Refer to my earlier post.

Zenwell,

Not to worry ler, as long as you hv the document to support your broadband subscription (registered under your own name). Actually, I dint even bother to keep the monthly bills.

You should only worry when you have not subscribed to full year and yet wish to claim for the relief biggrin.gif

I don't think you can split that way... Either you claim RM1000 OR your wife claim RM1000

For any purchases that requires receipt as a proof, I know I can photocopy the receipt... but I'd like to know, after I photocopy the receipt, can I throw away the original receipt, and just keep the photocopy? I don't like to keep too many papers. 1 A4 photocpy can already fit at least 4 receipts in it..
