Yes, as long as the iPAD cannot perform two-way telecommunication it is not considered a mobile/handphone device.

So guys, time to go buy Apple iPads to claim Computer Tax Relief.

From our humble knowledge we would like to share the feedback that this personal purchase (if not under your company) is not tax deduct-able under the LHDN as an iPad is not a computer in it s functions.

is iPad considered as Tablet Computer at all?

Hi guys. Can anyone tell me how much is the relief/rebate for broadband?
*
500, and it has to be register under your name. relief is not for the payer but the owner of the broadband subscriber.

I have subscribed to Streamyx 1 mbps at rm99/mth and get a FREE HP pc, since then, TM didnt send me any bill, instead my bank charged me and appeared as "HEWLETT-PACKARD-E24-MOTO" in my credit card bill.

Question: How to proof to tax department in case they audit for my claim of rm500?

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

You should have your monthly streamyx statement (RM99 per month) from TM, right?

I'm not quite sure on this but worth to try. Since you have the streamyx id, you should have an account with TM. Try log in to that streamyx accs and try whether there is online bill/statement. Or look for some sort of usage report in that accs or even the proof to indicate you are the registered owner for the streamyx line.

You should have unique streamyx id, use that id to register an online account in TM website. I just log into my accs, can view the bills online as well as payment history & etc.

This is a package TM with HP. Previously I paid rm77/mth, (maybe rm88, cant remember) then during HP fair, they encouraged me to pay rm99 for 2 years and can have a small compac PC which they called bundle. Since then, my bank will pay RM99 to HP (wonder what TM profit from this deal??? as I am already streamyx user.... hmm.gif )

Now really dont know should I claim rm500 or just forget about it...

U paid to HP, HP paid to TM. TM provide streamyx, but u are not directly pay to TM. U don't have TM's bill as evidence for this. Here is the issue......So, only TM can help u to solve the problem OR as nemo2 said if u streamyx account has detail listing ( U are genuie register, you IC Number, streamyx fee listing-definately not RM 99 per month)and able to print out as prove, then should be ok! But, u must take the risk that Tax Authority might condemn that u have made a fake copy for this.
