nop.....only housing loan which doesn't have rental income gained from it.

yeap, RM10k per year and I'm not sure whether could claim under YA2012. at the moment, YA2011 is available for claim.

Added on April 8, 2012, 6:33 pm

for housing interest loan, you claim RM10k per year for 3 consecutive years beginning from which YA you started to claim. Hope this could help u!
*
Warning : Housing loan interest is deductible for 3 years interest is EXPENDED not for 3 years it is claimed. ie first charged by bank. Those who try to be extra clever by not claiming for 1st year(coz small amount) and try to claim for next 3 years BE WARNED.

Source

An amount limited to a maximum of RM10,000 is deductible for
each basis year for a period of three consecutive years of
assessment beginning from the date in which the interest is first
expended.

MACPA - YES.

CPA from which country? Certified to practise in Malaysia on its own? IF not then NO.

Thanks for the answer.
I got another question regarding the housing loan rebate.
If the total amount of the loan exceeds RM300,000 and it's not 2 or more individuals that are entitled to claim deduction as stated in (a), then does that mean that this rebate is not applicable? Sorry, I don't really understand this housing loan rebate.

Let's say I have a housing loan of RM350,000 and I signed the S&P in mid 2010, am I applicable for this rebate or not?
*
You have mixed up your facts.

Subsidised housing loan interest by employer is different from your own housing loan.

First is a benefit provided by your employer.

2nd is a housing loan taken up bu yourself.
S&P signed in July 2010 is eligible for the deduction provided you fulfill all other conditions.
