QUOTE(truth_seeker_09 @ Mar 29 2012, 01:56 PM) want to ask. Tax deductible1. Quesetion about EPF and Insuraces Eg. EPF $6500 Life Insurance $3000 Medical Insurance $550 In Tax form, can i claim as follow? Insurace and EPF =6000 Medical and education insurance ($3000X60% + $550)=2350 2. If i took some IT professional Certification Exam. Am i elligle to claim for tax deduction? under Education Fee? EPF + Life Insurance = 6500 + 3000 = 9500 = 6000 (max deductible) Medical & Education insurance = 550 only (max 3000) You cannot simply pro-rate 60%. Also if it is explicitly stated as Life Insurance, you can't split it up. QUOTE(lucifah @ Mar 29 2012, 03:38 PM) for the tablet, can you double confirm as i have been receiving mixed response? Shoes, clothes (even swimming attire) cannot claim.according to my accountant (and his circle of tax accountant friends) - only sports equipment, like racquets, bicycle, golf clubs, etc can be claimed shoes or shirts cannot be claimed. if you ride bicycle competitively, new parts for the bikes (eg new chain or new brakes) also cannot be claimed if you can confirm that shuttlecocks can be claimed, it'd be nice. i have a few hundreds ringgit worth of shuttlecocks. sadly, only rm300 limit. Racquets and shuttlecock can. Bicycle & its parts, I'm not sure. Refer my post #262 here |

QUOTE(onlinepaycheck @ Aug 30 2012, 12:34 PM) Does anyone know the answer to this? According to earlier replies, if S&P both names, then 50-50. Unless you have specifically mention in S&P that, e.g. you own 2/3 and wife 1/3. Or other %.I filed 50:50 previously but would like to switch to 100:0 for next filing. Thanks in advance. QUOTE(pisces88 @ Aug 30 2012, 12:53 PM) Is PCB calculated based on fixed rate? (example rate for 2011, 10-20k 3%, 5-10k 3%, less than 5k 1% etc). seems like i got charged more than the 1% every month for my PCB. why ya? It's fixed amount, based on your monthly salary. Similiar like how EPF deduction works.Refer PDF below. JADUAL POTONGAN CUKAI BULANAN SCHEDULE OF MONTHLY TAX DEDUCTIONS |

QUOTE(Angela.X @ Aug 19 2013, 10:21 PM) Hi, No. The billing (if available) must be under your name. e.g. broadband, computer, etc.Can we use credit card statements to justify/proof of purchase instead of receipts? i.e, broadband(auto-billing), amazon books ? Even medical for parents (perubatan ibu bapa) , the receipt must be your parents name or your name. Remember if they really audit and goto the clinic/hospital to check the records. QUOTE(Tsuto @ Aug 24 2013, 11:37 PM) No status currently. If everything in order, refund will be 2-4 weeks.Otherwise can take 3-4 months. If you impatient, you can contact LHDN (call/email) , give them your tax file reference number, and they will get back to you. |
