Any posts with incorrect statement(s) on SST credit card tax will be removed without notice. The section's T&C has been updated to include notice on removal of incorrect/misleading SST discussions and applicable throughout the section.

If the card issuer offers to pay on your behalf then it need to be accurately stated so. It shall not be considered a "waiver", "reward", "gift" or anything with similar definition. Someone else is paying the SST credit card tax although is it not the cardholder.

I did explain properly in my previous post.

You can call Aeon and they will give back the SST in the form of cash back with spending condition and the cash back is equivalent to the SST amount.

I don’t know what you would expect the forumer to translate it in English to satisfy what you want the sentence to be.

If you think my statement is misleading or my English very poor. Appreciate if you share with all the forumers how you would structure this statement in English. I am keen to learn from you.

it's pretty straightforward. no waiver for SST.
what banks/FI are doing is offering welcome/rewards of similar/exceed a specific amount.

example is how CIMB giving RM25 welcome bonus to new cardholder here. no mention of SST or whatsoever. sendiri pandai-pandai la.
As long as you dont dont equate this amount with SST, then it's not misleading. when you equate the reward = SST waiver, then it's incorrect, even when Aeon CS says so (obviously they are not well equipped when communicating to callers).

I totally understand but my intention is share with everybody here that when you get charge for the SST, they will have this cash back as a reward to offset.

Otherwise, I can’t be telling the people here that to call Aeon to get the 25 cash back without mentioning the sst. And rightfully, if they did not charge you the sst, i believe you won’t get the 25 cash back as well.
