Investment in ASB is generally free $$$... thumbup.gif

Why do you open account for for ASW & AS1M in the 1st place?
*
it's not a one day decision...i opened asw since 2008...back then, the div was superior then epf, thus i used to hedge accordingly and i used odasw as well...

now, with asb2 coming and the first dividen was equal to asb,asw and as1m were not favorable to me anymore

with the current 3b snapped up in asb2, im going and invest under my children name first as it is capped at 10b..try max 50k for each child, then i asb

If u know how to use ODASW, spot on!!
But based on the current shrinking return of ASW dividend and increasing in OD rate. Not worth to do the ODASW.
I have discontinue 5 OD accounts pledged against ASW.
*
that why i also discontinue my ODASW, channel it into my account and my child account i.e asb and asb2

Different banks have different spreads as they got different base rates. But all add up to 5.2%.
Maybank, Cimb, Rhb, Bsn
*
as at to date, only maybank provide asb2 loan with a flat rate of 5.2%, that is why i'm not really keen to finance..i just used my epf acct 1...

For asb loan, i got this offer late last year and i just apply max 300k at 4.85%...

4.85% very good rate. I guess that was before the bank's using BR. Loan still based on BLR?
So u are getting BLR-2%?
May I know which bank?

C? R? Or M?

Guys, I have some questions regarding ASB loan. Recently I attend a talk from Maybank officer regarding Maybank loan and he stated that Maybank ASB loan is based on reducing rate while the CIMB ASB loan is based on flat rate. Can any of you guys clarify about this? If it is true, then it is better that we take the Maybank loan right?
*
both banks are daily rest
