Is it a wise idea to withdraw money from loan account that charges 4.7% per annum to put it into asw2020 that has historical returns of >6% ?
Someone told me the amount saved is not worth the hassle of taking risk of falling asw2020 returns and increasing interest rate for housing loan

QUOTE(felicious @ Sep 22 2015, 07:17 PM) I'm very new in this. I have an account with little money in AS 1Malaysia . I saw that you guys can top up money in the account, and by just dropping by in banks to check, whether is there any lot available? Try to go to your home branch , where u have account there. Easier for u to direct debit from your account to PNB account once the fund is available. The bank officer also needs to be careful because once they lock in the amount of units u want to buy , the units are transferred to your account. Unless they know u well , they won't take that risk of u not paying them or short of cash. They need to balance their account before 4pm or they will have to pay it. If they don't know you, you have to bring cash - ready and verified before they even start to look for available units. Try to understand their point of view too.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 22 2015, 08:52 PM) Yes, u have surplus of 1.3% I wud reckon tat 6% returns is conservative moving forward However, m unable to predict movement of int rate How about the housing loan prepayment period? Now cut short because of partial payoff. If I withdraw it , it will extend ? I really can't figure out the housing loan I calculated only save me about 1000 a year. Worth it ? QUOTE(felicious @ Sep 22 2015, 09:37 PM) But I'm not Bumi. Is it easy too? Home branch as in MBB home branch or the place I opened the 1Malaysia account? I remember starting the account in some other office with my parents. MBB branch. It's easier for u to debit money from your home branch account to PNB in the spot. Other branch can, but u need to carry cash. Worth the risk of being Robbed? I won't

Got a question, anyone knows how pnb funds can be included in a will, or we need to nominate the trustee like KWSP Here says no need fill special form just include in a will http://www2.bharian.com.my/bharian/article...mawaris/ArticleThis post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Oct 4 2015, 08:28 AM
