You are right - the dividend given out this time will reflect on future dividends payouts.

There r a lot of selling of ASx funds lately. To reduce this maybe ASNB is contemplating whether to pay out in full without reserving for the future. That will bring back all the sellers. Wishful thinking? n

Only for this year's income lah. In the past they like  to say this year income is 8.5% but we are distributing 6.5% and reserve the balance of 2% for the future. So if they were to declare 8% dividend then there will be less redemption.

Bluudy hell, why the delay if it is the same, only make investors jittery.

Yeah,... just OT a bit,... if I converted the principle into the SGD and bought Keppel Corp today with the funds, I'll be getting 7.08% annual dividend, paid to me two times per year. Even if this dividend drops to 6.50% due to lower DPU because of earnings problems, I'll still equal the ASM yield which pays out only once per year.

Just food for thought, since I've been following and comparing with the SG stocks recently.

used to be. based on asw2020 trend, it was all quiet on the dividend day. most have withdrawn. and the 'hardcore' ones won't withdraw.

Like I said, my confidence level is 5 years. After the 5th year, may pull all out.

How to topup? Only have ASM. Second, no money. So just watch.
