Hey guys! Apologise for my lack of knowledge in computers, but i would like to ask, should i get a 144hz monitor or a 1440p monitor 60hz?
Budget wise, im not too sure honestly, initially, i didnt thought monitors had such big effect on gaming especially when you have a powerful rig.. but these 1440p and 144hz monitors cost around 300-600$ (was pretty shocked..) But i wouldnt mind as long as it has good performance.. (but not too pricey like the ROG SWIFT) wouldnt want to spend that much on a monitor.....
Is there any difference between 24 and 27 inch as well?

my rig:
AMD FX8350 (OCed to 4.41GHz)
SEASONIC X650
NOCTUA D14
ASUSA CROSSHAIR V FORMULA Z
R9 290 SAPHIRE
4GB X2 GSKILL RIPJAWS
SSD 128GB PLEXTOR M5
1TB CAVIAR BLUE HDD
NZXT PHANTOM 410 CASE

Thank you all in advance. smile.gif
EDIT: my comp runs 39FPS average on 2560x1440p using FurMark at 90celcius ( R9 290 sad.gif )

High refresh rate is good for fps intensive game

So if u gaming priority is fps, I suggest u to get higher refresh rate.

I don't play fps game and prefer good color calibaration so I choose dell ips panel monitor, which only have 60hz
Played 2k with tomb raider, it's looks good and no screen flickering or tearing.
Well, at least I don't notice any

Basically it's depend on what game u usually play.

Hey! i decided to go for Dell U2515H but unsure should i get the 27inch or not as the diffrence of price is costly. usually for gaming/movie. Not using for photo editing. i chose 60hz IPS mainly because i dont play fps competitively. and just wanna use it for casual gaming and also the IPS panel looks gorgeous and the 1440p. (cant afford 4k)

But, acer just realeased a new monitor G257HU which is like the dell u2515h but cheaper! but cant seem to find it anywhere in malaysia....

The size is pretty much self preference.
Some argue 24 inch is the best for gaming and movie while some lean towards 27 inch.

U may go to shop and see which size fit u the best.

It might take time for acer to bring into Malaysia as our currency is highly unstable, possibly hard for them to decide on the price

I choose dell cos of the warranty and after some research for its reviews.
It's pricy but at least it's worthy, for the warranty.
