Why does the Indonesian Government failed to combat the haze situation for many years?

Shouldn't ASEAN do something about it? Instead of blaming one another, why not take a preventive steps to combat this haze issue since its a yearly occurance.

It should also be mentioned that in the mid-1990s, former President Suharto's Mega Rice Project to turn 1 million hectares of peat land in Central Kalimantan into rice cropland was a complete ecological disaster and the source of the haze that blanketed Singapore and Malaysia in July 1997 to May 1998.

Indonesia was the only member of the Association of South-East Asian Nations not to have ratified a 2002 Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution. shocking.gif

what's the point of all ur post tina ?

problem identification and problem resolution are 2 different things.

you manipulating readers to think critically for what ? that old school approach does not work in these days. it's called blaming game and it does not benefit people at all (only political party probably). i call this problem identification.

for problem resolution: visualization resolve problem and it is simple. It's also free of charge.

And your point is? Do you hope that by visualization, it can solve our problems? laugh.gif

So many refugees in Germany and in Europe. So, if I visualize, they will all disappear? brows.gif

A lot of refugees in my church... brows.gif

Well, smarty pant, why don't you "visualize" and make the haze disappear tonight? icon_idea.gif

I'm visualizing that a lot of people will come and visit my tent this Saturday for Oktoberfest. brows.gif

I'm visualizing my bank account increasing everyday. brows.gif

For this, not that I want to credit the concept, but it would generally work to a person's benefit if seen as a mind-tool.

Imagine being habitually positive on succeeding in something desired (of course coupled with carrying out the right planning and actions).

Imagine not having any second wasted on doubts, self-pity, fear, concerns; just laser-focus on objectivity to attain the projected/visualized success.
