The popular store at Jaya Supermarket, PJ. I think you can get it at any branch. I'm learning the notes by myself. Just simply blow so you can know the difference.

taunge??? quite easy wat. the numbers represent the hole number, and the arrow represent a draw or a blow. then there's also bending symbol or vibrato

You can buy quality German harmonicas (Hohner is the best brand) in Central Market, the music shop across Professor shop upstairs. I play 2 types of harmonica, one is diatonic (the small one with 10 holes) C major and another is chrometic (there's a slide to get half notes e.g. C# Bb Eb etc. I play the chrometic harmonica most of the time since they got bigger holes than the diatonic and I suck at bending notes
It's fun playing harmonicas when there's other instruments accompanying, but you'd better learn to blow right or else you'll get rotten apples and slippers flying towards your face. Apparently harmonicas are the easiest wind instruments aside saxophones and its siblings. Chinese harmonicas bought in bookshops are not really recommended, since they sound like out of tune. |

For Lee Oskars, Hering and Hohners, checkout this local online store based in Petaling Jaya selling a variety of blues harps:

I have one given to me long ago. China branded one by the name of Brelli.
I can sort of get the notes right by tune. Kinda like playing piano with your eyes closed. lol.. |

Yes. Full-time. No other job involved except harmonicas only for me.
I also teach lessons, do custom/repair technician work, and amplification consultation. Ultimately I just love playing this instrument. Please check me out on my youtubes! http://www.youtube.com/harmonicazhin |
