PrinceJ has done upgrades for soldered gpu. My guess limitation mobo bios etc to support that gpu.
Guessing here on the later part.. since unlocked gpu bioses are different for each notebooks eventhough there are the same gpu.

970m is a true desktop grade gpu. Equivalent to a gtx770 . Faster that a stock desktop 960.

how about TPLink routers? 5ghz means dual band right?

8mbps should be okay right the speed? just need a modem good enough to support 5 laptops, don't want people browsing facebook photo also causing ping spikes.

for touchpad, in linux at least you can customize a lot of the touchpad settings using synaptics and xinput, much better than Windows

I have some question wanna to ask regarding about the Windows 10 BIOS update.

1)If i want to send my laptop to illegear office for update the BIOS of my illegear z5, did i need to pay any service charge?

2)if i just want to update the BIOS only without upgrade my windows 8.1 to windows 10 it's okay? I want upgrade BIOS just for standby to upgrade windows 10 in the future.

Did you recommend me to update the BIOS without upgrade windows 10?

If upgrade to windows 10 and continue to use without updating the bios, what ll be the issue?

I believe that friend of mine simply got defective hardware (well, shyt happens, regardless of what brand you buy as far as electronic stuff is concerned - sometimes you need luck too), it was also my first time hearing something like that. But then he also told me an Illegear staff advised him not to use cooling pad if possible (I have doubts as far as this statement is concerned - did the staff really said this?). Cooling pad i have heard of Cooling Master Notepal X3 being one of the best, but so far i havent bought one yet. Sometimes, when you hear about problems regarding a product, you are only hearing the story from the customer's side, and you have no idea whether they are telling you the truth either.

i encountered a weird problem..  when i plug in an external HDD to the usb3 port on the left side, the laptop detects it. When i start transferring file, it will run for a few seconds and then stopped. The HDD will then behave like it was ejected and then put back in. Meaning it will pop a new explorer windows everytime.

Using the same HDD at the 2 usb3 port on the right side has no issue. It detects and transfers file normally..

4 days into using this laptop, very happy so far.

I only installed Chrome in addition to Edge, didnt install Firefox, but there's this plugincontainer.exe thingy (which is usually associated with firefox) magically managed to max out my cpu usage, a core i7 cpu, to 100% and made the whole machine sluggish. I got mad and instead of disabling it I totally deleted the exe file from my drive C's program data folder.

And I noticed the Chrome browser had a tendency to spam ads on all 4 sides and also at the corners (right left top bottom) of any webpage I opened - it never happened on my old laptop. Erasing plugincontainer.exe somehow reduced its occurrence but it still happens to some sites and I don't know why, even when I have adblock installed.

I like windows 10 and the Edge browser a lot so far in terms of performance, but almost every browser felt unpolished yet when used on windows 10. Chrome had only a 32 bit version.

hello, can u remove the battery for z5 like a normal laptop?cos i've seen video on z5 which they could only remove the battery by unscrewing the inner parts

and how long is the battery life for this laptop? if im using for gaming or just normal usage like surfing the net
