I really dont get why ure mixing up between isp and wifi dual band ac connection

Also streamyx afaik doesnt have synchronous upload/download. So its ure download at 8mbps. Ure upload should be way less since its a adsl

the best connection via wifi is on a 5ghz with no drops. Doesnt matter whether its AC or N. AC is beneficial if ure having a fast ssd and a gigabit internet or ure doing a lot of transfers between computers but as i said u will need a fast hdd/ssd to maintain a 100MB/s.

Y ure friends say use dual band so there wont be a channel clash or interference on that wifi channel with other wifi running around ure housing area etc.

Dude this is just to make sure on ure end.. ure house.. u got a lag free networking.
they rest ure at the mercy of the isp.

To make things simpler. Its better if you have a dual band router. And no you dont need a AC dual band router unless ure doing a lot of large file transfers/streaming between ure devices in ure own network.

okay i'm clear alot about it already now thumbup.gif

thanks sifu for enlightening me ! smile.gif

If it can't detect from the get go, then i can understand the logic bout the different length or depth of the physical port or cable head.

But in my case, it detects fine, explorer pop out fine, but once files transfer start, it go from 30 over mbs to zero in seconds, then stopped responding.

user posted image

after a bit, you can hear the system sound as it disconnect and re detect the HDD

using that same HDD + cable on the right side port or on my desktop, no issue.
*
same issue here with my phone charging on the left port ( the port which optimize charging ) the system sound kept playing and playing after it disconnect and connects/

Fast charging port is a usb 2.0 port afaik. Cause thats the one that still charges when ure laptop disabled

Btw crazy.. Charging a ipad on a notebook port.
*
haha i jz connect it as i cant find any charger near by that time. later i try again with other cable, but quite weird when other 3.0 ports dont have that problem and that 2.0 port has.

You can download the latest driver here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/....21.0_De164.exe

For the first page driver, it's approved by the factory but not the latest.
*
how do i install it? i double clicked it just now, and then my wifi suddenly auto disabled. after i restart my comp then its up. does it means the process is done?

Click the URL I attached, scroll to the bottom page and accept the T&C before you can download the driver. After that just launch the installer to install the driver, restart.
You have to reflash the BIOS on the first page and download the windows 10 drivers for Z5.
*
the BIOS all on the first page are the latest right? is it hard to reflash the bios? or its advisable to bring it over to illegear instead?

btw i've updated the Wireless driver already, still the same. I'm experiencing ping spikes but my friends are not.

Is there any problem related to windows 8? cuz their OS are windows 7

Edit : After i connect Lan cable to my z5, then the spike isnt there anymore.

Hi BlizzardCraft,

You can send in your laptop for testing the connection.

By the way, do check on your router settings. Recently we have another case similar to you with 7260AC (other devices no problem but lag spikes with this wireless module), the problem has been resolved by resetting the router.
*
later i try reset the router and set it up again.

but my friends on windows 7 no problem, another friend on windows 8.1 ( asus comp ) having same issue, i suggest him to use LAN cable and there's no more ping spike. IMO is software issue
