Looking at the owners list. Seems that I'm the only one with 1.6Mt premium. Would that mean I can sell off easily?

Well cut to the chase, what is the main reason you guys choose Iriz over Myvi or any other cars that fall under the budget ?

Lack confidence when speeding in Myvi. Lack confidence =  cant speed + if speed then will feel uneasy.
Other than that for that few hundred extra im spending getting an Iriz, I am getting way more in terms of safety, excitement and more. Also based on my experience, sitting in Myvi at the back from Subang to Klang caused me to have a back ache while from KL to Camerons parents sitting at the back didnt complain.

Due to personal feelings, I dislike how Perodua does their business. Take an existing car, sell it for cheap I'm ok with that but after so many years they only keep doing facelift and not improving the safety of the car is a big no-no. After Iriz came out, I waited for Perodua's response and it was here's a facelift and new gearbox.

Also I intend to buy and keep the car for at least 10 years therefore I need to choose something I would not regret. So far my only semi-regret is not getting 1.6MT but since I just started working at that time so I don't have much money.

Don't worry overtime you will get used to it and adjust your braking point naturally
Idk but my steering feels direct, like ford fiesta but better. For me Iriz steering feel is better than fiesta.
This morning while driving on highway chasing a gen 2 the rubber strip on the roof peeled off. Found out there is a small double sided tape under it. Luckily it doesn't hit any car or anyone(I hope). Going to COE tomorrow morning for warranty claim.

p/s: I saw a lot of new cars getting hit from behind. I think this is because the owner is not familiar with the new car braking power so they tend to over apply the brakes. Please be careful. It pains me to see new cars kemek oredi.

Happen to my 1.6 about 2 months ago. Was at pasar tani parking while waiting for my mom and wifey. Wind down all the windows and switch off the engine. When everyone was ready and wanted to go back home, started the engine, wind up both front windows, success. Next, wind up both rear windows but both stop about half way up. After this, all 4 windows is not responding.

Sent to the sc the week after for 2nd service and to check on this problen. Forgot what the sc said, something like relay or fuse problem with the left rear window that short the whole power window system. They replaced the faulty part but it is not covered under warranty and i had to pay for it. Again don't remember how much but it was less then rm40.

Had to go back to sc the week after for them to do a thorough check of the wiring as they were worried that it could happen again. Was told i cannot use the left rear window until further checks or else it could happen again. Went to sc again and it took them about an hour to identify and rectify it.

So far no issue with the windows since.

By the way, if both rear windows are wind down about half way as per what happened to mine, driving at about 70km/h and above will cause the air coming into the car via both rear windows to make noises that is quite painful to me ears.. ouch..

power window go down fast but go up slow means the rubber is stuck. this is thanks to your tint guys, never fix the rubber back properly. i had the same issue

actually can DIY, see the rubber condition of your window, the front edge. see whether its folding up when you're winding it up or not 

so for a non-speed demon like me, CVT should be alright?

I test drove axia and iriz 1.3mt and 1.6cvt before deciding on iriz.

Agree with the video except for the cvt part. After adapting to it, don't find it to be bad at all.

Last 2 months hantar my car for 3 weeks for sc solve all the rattling issue.. Now very silent n smooth.. Ony the hiss sound from aircond.. Dont know its normal or not...

I couldn't agree more. I wouldn't want to burden them more than as I am already.

Quick question, won't it be more cheaper to add bodykit/spoiler on our own, instead of forking out a few k's more for the exec spec? (Typical car newbie)

use a car charger.
use a usb hub. works for charging, doesn't work for data.
rain x for rear window.

4k is not worth it for a bit of plastics.
after market bodykit cost way less.

Now I can't make up my mind.

You guys use Ron 95 or Ron 97 .....and what brand you use is good for power?

if you remain at D and apply brakes, you wont cause as much wear and tear to your transmission as compared to going from D>N and N>D. (think of it this way, do you notice the slight jerk when going from P>D or N>D and vice versa? yeah, that's the whole transmission at work.. so you are constantly engaging/disengaging the transmission system)

But naturally, your brake pads gets worn out faster than if you change to N and don't apply brakes at stops.

Which then comes down to this, where do you want to spend your money on? On worn out brake pads or on worn out transmission? For me, I rather spend money on new brake pads than taking the risk of having problematic transmission in the future.

Belum sebulan, 3 rattling sound appeared.. 2 from dashboard near HU and Passenger Airbag area and 1 in driver's door...
temporarily workaround is on my radio louder 

One fine day I open the bonet to check water and notice the spare tank cover isn't tap on... try to close it back but damn difficult to tighten it with that snap.. super cheapo plastic.. 

speaking about radio, I tot my 1.3 std radio sound damn bad, totally no bass.. I have to max the bass and lowered treble to max to get a decent sound.. but when setting the volume louder, only then the bass kick in which sound pretty ok... conclusion is the radio isn't that bad anyway, just need to know how to get around with it..

oh by the way did I mentioned i broke smth under the rear passenger seat ? that 2 pully and some white plastic on day 1 itself when trying to remove the plastic cover... again another cheapo plastic..
