Hi guys, not sure if someone already asked this but does anyone has a problem with side mirrors visibility during rainy days? Can't see much because somehow the raindrops on the surface blurred out the reflection. Or does it has to do with the front windows because looking at other cars the rain didn't flow down. So I'm thinking of getting window visors but do they helped with this problem?

Due to bad visibility when rain, applied rain x this morning..kinda weird this happend, really thought new car window should bead atleast for sometime..
*
So Rain X works for you?

I've been thinking the same thing. It's weird to have this kind of problem when your car is still brand new. I'm thinking maybe the design caused this problem? Because Iriz have that 'kembung' shape.. biggrin.gif

I used to have this issue, but then once I washed the car at home, and dried the mirrors, I applied RainX to the mirrors, and the water just slips off... I also put some RainX on all windows in the car, I practically never need my wipers unless it's pouring.

Thanks! Will definitely try this. wink.gif

Window visors wouldnt help much. Its purpose is to allow you to open the windows a jar during a rain. When water lands on the screen, it tends to spread  into a large blob. RainX helps by making the screen more hydrophobic where the water remains in droplet form and as the wind hits the droplets, it pushes it off the screen.
Thanks for your reply. I'll give RainX a try. Glad to know I didn't have to install window visors. biggrin.gif

Window visor is not cheap. Proper one can cost about RM1xx. I didnt install one cuz I dont always wind down windows and when going fast, there is a lot of wind noise(some said get smaller gap one will make less noise but im not sure. I have 1 installed on my old saga and you can hear it at about 80km/h very loudly).
*
I'm hesitant to install just because I don't like the look of Iriz with them. tongue.gif

Hi. I was given an option of fully syn syntium 1000 (15w40) and semi synthetic syntium 800 (10w40).

I choose the later, what is the cons of it? Is it a good EO?

this is my 2nd service
*
The only thing I know semi synthetic requires you to change the oil after 5000km. My Iriz also uses semi synthetic. smile.gif

Guys, is there a possible way for me to turn off the 'Periodic Inspection' notice on the odometer display? I just went for second service but it seems like the SC forgot to update it? Annoying la seeing the wrench sleep.gif

No more smearing, fogging which causes bad visibility when driving at night while raining. Previously i had wax on my windshield. Now, rainx applied a week ago.

Pic taken when it was raining HEAVILY just now at sprint highway during standstill. My wiper was off the whole journey.

Traffic was really bad. Lucky i had some TV series in my usb. Watch TV while in traffic. Hehe

Good call on RainX!

I applied something like RainX but different brand, can't remember the name. And I'm glad I did because this week the rain has been pouring like crazy every day. No longer stressed out when driving nod.gif

Aquapel? Yeah, it helps ALOT to have repellant during heavy rain. Visibility improves so much
*
Nope, not Aquapel. I used a RainX wannabe – called RainZ or something like that. tongue.gif
