Do you guys get the brake pedal tension readjused during the 1st service? I need to pedal to great extend and feel like the pedal is almost touching the floor.

Also reminder: do stick two of your weather protector rubber on top of the roof with better quality double sided tape as they could easily come off!

Planning to buy IRIZ 1.3 STD CVT. Earlier want to get Axia SE Auto, but Proton has massive offer for IRIZ, almost RM5000 discount so the price would be RM39xxx compared to Axia SE 40xxx. Good deal right?
*
Well.. where r u from. pm me to get my sa contact. U should get better discount.

My update on iriz 1.3 cvt after 9 days of driving:
1. Engine power is less than expectation
2. Dashboard rattling is ignorable, not affecting daily driving
3. Noisy gearbox
4. Throttle delay is manageable
5. Handling and cornering are superb
6. Good seat height position for comfortable drive
7. Reverse sensor sound is soft
8. Brake is getting better grip from day 1
9. No wind sound or rat sound
10. Armrest is a must
11. Meter clock at 6.6 to 6.8l/100km will do manual fc calc next week.

Most importantly i get a huge rebate. Cheers
This car is better than axia and myvi, you wont regret of owning one but U need to live with the cvt nature and rattling sound as most of the forumer is complaining.

If u want to solve your dashboard rattling sound, easiest way is tap around the dashbord with hands to find the source of vibration. Then insert sponge or soft plastic like cut out wire cable in between joints.
Most vibration come from front A frame or between windscreen and dashboard.

So you solve the rattling sound yourself bro? any video to guide us?

Yes i would say 98% rattling is solved but bear in mind my dashboard rattles are not serious initially.

door handle and wing mirror dont effect much for me but without the rear spoiler, it looks like a kontot car..lol

Extra 4k for exec is not worth seriously. I buy the premium spoiler and fix myself cost less than 200.

What's the stock tyre that Proton give?

Any potential problem I should know if I decide to buy Iriz? I'm aiming 1.6 exec, premium has all the extra gadgets which I can live without... (or is there any must-have?)
*
Silverstone. Potential problems are alot if you flash back the threads, no jokes. Think twice unless you can bear the petrol price when it hikes and if you got plenty of time spending in useless proton sc.

no need for that kinda attitude in this thread. Each owners have their own perspective. If you think it's not worth it, then good for you. It probably is not then.

But to people like me and yadea and many other 1.3 Exec owners, we felt that it is worth it. Sure you can add spoilers, bodykit, and paint your door handles and side mirrors for less than 4k.

But not everything can be done outside, AND it's not all about plastics, mind you.

You don't get:
-black painted exhaust, so your 1.3 Std after sometime the exhaust will have rust stains all over it.
-roof-grab handles. How you gonna hang your clothes/jackets after sending them for dry-cleaning? (inb4 u give me alternatives to dry cleaning rolleyes.gif )
-BOOT LAMP. Try taking/putting stuff into your boot at the dead of night, you will then appreciate not needing to turn your smartphone or torchlight on just to see what the hell you're doing..
-OH and while you're at it, without the boot lamp, make sure you don't scratch your rear body paint yeah since it's exposing bare metal and not covered by plastics
-rear wipers.
-drive side vanity mirrors. (well gotta make sure I look sharp and dapper before picking up the gf  wink.gif )
-follow me home lamp functionality.
-remote trunk release function (but this one is truly useless)
-2 dedicated built-in USB charging slots with the PROPER Ampere-capacity. 1 for smartphones, 1 for tablets.

All that CONVENIENCE readily provided in the car. No need send to 3rd party shops to do wiring or whatever, no worry and headaches about "Oh shit will this void my warranty with Proton later??"
PS: Adding rear wipers and boot lamp to your car WILL void your warranty.
*
I dont really agree. All the stuffs except usb and wiper u mention above could be diy without warranty void. sorry probably im a hands on person, i could do wiring easily without cutting. wahaha.
