Tmall is actually another e commerce site similar to taobao
*
Yeah i know but they cannot just redirect to tmall for every click.

You click your shipment, it goes to tmall's main page,
You click your favorite, it goes to tmall's main page
You click similar item, it goes to tmall's main page.

every time i have to close tab and reclick the similar link to go back.

This is ridiculous.

Hey guys, looking for some advice for topping up on Yes Logistics.

According to their site, I have to manually transfer MYR to their Malaysian bank account, and then use their website's form to notify them of the transfer. After about 1hr, my Yes Logistics 'wallet' will be topped up with the money. Is this correct?

I'm used to using Buy2Taobao which has a very convenient Maybank2u/Ipay88 top up function. This manual transfer system just feels really...rudimentary to me lol.

Usually it's instant, just need to inform their sales chat on fb that you've done the transfer

Cool, thanks thumbsup.gif Also, can you give me an outline of Yes Logistics' charges? Their website is kinda unclear, but they don't charge service fee, right? So the only charges when using them as an agent are the shipping fees? (in which case, how do they make money? Do they charge higher shipping than other agents?)

Parcel handling fees, 2 yuan for each parcel delivered to the warehouse
For example, if you buy 5 cameras from 1 seller, you'll be charged with 2 yuan. 5 cameras from 5 different sellers, 10 yuan it is

Just to share my experience using Taobao Global Consolidate Shipping. Few months ago, I purchased a total of 8 items amounting RM 309 (item cost + shipping). To summarize:
1. Total cost = RM309. 8 items worth = RM 164, Shipping = RM 145. Total weight = 9.31 KG
2. The good thing was the shipping was fast for me (ABX shipping). From China to warehouse, from warehouse to Malaysia took about a week plus to arrive. Definitely faster than my aliexpress and ebay experiences (they took 2 weeks to months to arrive).
3. Consolidate shipping means they consolidate the items and calculate each of their weights/ volumetric weights. I had 8 items and totaled up to 9.31kg. I initially thought they would group all the items together, repackage it and then remeasure the weight/ volumetric weight, but that's not correct. When I received the item, it was repackaged inside a big gunny sack about 1Meter square in size (1mx1mx1m). So, they actually tape the goods together and just chuck inside the bag for "consolidate shipping". Good thing is I didn't have any fragile items.
4. The items which cost the most was the 5 meter vacuum cleaner hose. The item cost only RM 21.68, but the shipping cost itself is RM 96.72 because of the volumetric weight calculation - 6.21kg (actual weight was about 2-3KG). doh.gif But, I figured that the price in Malaysia would have been cost much more since Karcher is already charging me RM 100 for 1 meter hose, so I decided to go with the purchase anyway.
5. For me, the only frustration is the weight/ volumetric weight because the sellers do not display them. You have to contact seller to confirm on it. And they can only converse in Mandarin. So I did chat with one of them since I know a little bit of mandarin. But I still relied a lot of Google Translate.
6. Wouldn't say it is a bad experience because if I bought these items Malaysia, it would have cost so much more! Though, I have never used any agent (EZbuy, yes logistics) before and wanted to try getting directly from Taobao itself. But I do intend to use agent in my next taobao purchases. Hopefully some can share which of the services offers the best in terms of shipping rate, etc.

What was the TGDS shipping quotation? Was it cheaper or more expensive than Dex consolidate?

Taobao website shows RMB32 for the first kg for TGDS which is using ZTO.

Instead, for the consolidate shipping method for ZTO, it is only RMB23 for the first kg.

Wondering why it has different pricing for direct shipping and consolidate method. hmm.gif hmm.gif

Sounds like rmb32 is total shipping cost for all 9kg shipment, not 1st kg
That's the thing about tgds, it only estimates your item.
I've bought item that weights around >4kg and only cost 32 yuan.
Btw, you need to select TGDS first and it will list the estimated shipping cost at the bottom of checkout.

Wrong person haha. I am not the person that bought 9kg shipment, that's longpants

I am just wondering why the price for TGDS and consolidate method is different although it is both under ZTO

Haha lol, I didn't notice your username. Was busy typing while watching apple live stream
Probably need to chat with zto online chat for that lol
Tgds needs to plan properly thoug what you wanna buy since it all in one go, it's even better when the shipping's cheaper after you estimated the weight/volume if it goes to consolidate option.

For mine. I did consolidated shipping. The shipping company consolidate all the items in the warehouse from all the sellers. Calculate each and every items weight/ volume. And then total the weight. Even though it was repackaged in a gunny bag (it's only about 4-5kg), but the shipping company calculated each individual weight/volume to total up 9kg.

>4kg for 32 yuan? Hmmm... How is that possible?

About 4 months back, bought a hulkbuster ironman figure.
If it was consolidated I would probably get charged +100 yuan

Like i said, it works purely based on estimation.
And depending on your item and quantity too.
Sometimes it does over estimate shipping cost, so it really helps when can get your item's weight/volume info and compare both shipping method cost.

my understanding is...the shipping company will measure both actual weight and volumetric weight...and charge upon whichever is higher weight
correct me if i am wrong...if that's true then bigger box but light weight will charge you more on shipping fee

It is not a karcher branded hose. Just a generic vacuum hose with the same width and diameter of my current Karcher Bees hose. Had to do some DIY to fit in the new hose but its not that difficult

Yes. So for my items, it was bulky. I would have used agents to do my shipping if I had known they were cheaper.

Yes, some items does not estimate shipping cost first until it goes to the shipping company. It would have been better if they could have just calculate the volumetric weight of the gunny bag itself instead of totaling up each of the weight/ volume.
