my package 2 days no update, last was sent out from 09 Aug

i think the lazada air is better, got daily movements
*
I personally prefer skynet better. At least for skynet, the tracking number can be used on Skynet malaysia website to track not only on Taobao. For Lazada Air using local GDEX, the tracking number not usable in GDEX website, so you can only depend on Taobao website.

About to buy something expensive from Taobao.
RMB 1500/ RM 1000

Which shipping method is best to avoid import duties/tax?
Direct or consolidate?
*
I've used both TGCS and EZBuy in the past before with items (electronics, bulky items) total more than RM1K worth in one shipment but so far no tax/ duties imposed. So, i guess depends on luck? or perhaps depends on the items that you purchase and whether it it is imposed for duties. There is a link the Royal Malaysia Customs website state all the items that is imposed for duty and the %. Have to go search.

Do you mind to share which TGCS provider that you used for one shipment with value more than 1k?
*
Sorry I used TGDS 淘宝直送 Taobao Global Direct Shipping , that means I didn't select the provider at that time. Shipment fees is automatically calculated if i choose that option. Now I realize that you can only choose Consolidated shipping 淘宝集运 Global Consolidate and Shipping when you checkout. And depends on the link you click, you can still sometimes choose TGDS. The system is getting dumb-er.

But the shipping company at that time was Skynet. So far never failed me. I tried Lazada air recently but I think will still prefer Skynet if not for the cheaper shipment. Skynet's tracking seems to be more superb. The tracking number 国际配送单号 showed in taobao can always be track through skynet malaysia tracking system after clearance of Malaysia custom. Lazada Air GDEX sometimes seems to fails me with their "ODBC error".

Yo guys, curious to know anyone tried Lazada(海运)seafreight before?

Recently bought a 27kg item using sea freight. Noticed there is a clause saying *代收消费税:马来西亚按货值收取6.00% means subject to Malaysia tax 6%. You can't find this clause if using airfreight, only sea freight has this.

Looks like it just cross the customs. China or Malaysia?. And there was some delay in the flight shipment. Well give it one day or two. Coz if it is stuck in Malaysia customs it will take some time to clear also, especially with the 5 days holiday. Lol. Our Customs sure damn a lot things to clear

ahhh thank you for the clarification. i think it has been shipped out to Malaysia? but im still unable to track!
also, i'll only pay the international shipping fees after i have received the goods?
*
Your item definitely shipped out from the zongtong china forwarder. Now the question is whether it has passed Malaysia customs.

In order to track in skynet or gdex, you need to get the "international" tracking number which Depends which forwarder you selected in the first place. Based on my experience, Skynet tracking number will be shown in taobao website after shipped out from china zongtong forwarder which can be tracked in skynet website . For gdex, even there is a international tracking number shown, it's not traceable at the local gdex website. So that one you need to check with taobao China forwarder.

And for international shipping fees, it depends whether you select for direct shipping (直送) or consolidated shipping (集运). And it should be paid before shipping out from china. Direct ship is paid up front. Consolidated will be paid separately upon reaching china forwarder warehouse

I whatsapp them the other day, and they told me the sea shipping fees already included for Malaysia tax 6% so that mean I wont get charge for GST anymore. Now just have to hope no customs duty when it passes customs.

So did Taobao charge you extra 6% ?
*
Yes, it's included in the shipping fees. I think the 6% GST most likely is charge on the value of the shipping fees and not the value of the goods.

I am abit confused..
Example:
My Items Value RMB1000.
Weight 10kg, and sea freight shipping fees for 10kg is 100RMB.
So how much Taobao will charge for the shipping fees?

1) Total RMB106 (included GST 6%)
2) Total RMB100 (included GST6%)
3) Total RMB100 + RMB60 (RMB1000*6%)?
*
It should be (2). I bought CNY798 item paid shipping fees worth CNY232. Calculation as explain by zongtong customer service: 27kg * 8 + 16.

I am not sure what is the CNY 16 for though, maybe that is the 6% tax?

QUOTE(rainderain @ Sep 12 2017, 09:55 AM)
it is charge on the value of the goods
*
Hmm, if based on value of goods then I would have paid CNY 48. I think the tax that is calculate based on the value of the goods is customs duty tax.

IMHO
Firstly, first item really take a bit too long. Is it by sea or air? Secondly, China is on public holiday for the 1st week of October due to Lunar Festival, so naturally shipments will be slightly delayed.

hi its stated as  "Lazada(海运" for the 1st item, 2nd item 递壹时-ABX
*
海运 means sea shipment. I just shipped recently one 27kg item also. It took me about 25 days from date of purchase until receiving it. So, it is normal for sea shipment to have long waiting time (at least minimum 20 days) happens to me using EZBUY also. ABX must be air shipping, but looks like you are going to receive soon la like next week since it says "您的包裹预计航班到达时间" = flight not delayed?..

Patience, my friend.

my first time trying sea freight...but take note they will charge 6% gst on the items price and add onto the shipping charge
*
I don't think 6% GST is charge on item price. I tried shipping CNY798 item with volumetric weight 27kg (net weight about 22kg only). was charged 232 CNY for sea shipment (27*8+16).

it is stated on the policy...you can search and read

btw...how much is per kg rate to WM ?
RMB8 per kg ?

Maybe I was lucky then? Or there's a cap on GST?

yes CNY8 per KG. so RMB 8 * 27 kg + RMB 16 = RMB 232. If not would have paid at least CNY 48 for GST alone. LOL!

Hmmmm... I've tried once to receive money from a seller directly through alipay. The seller got my hand phone number or account name to send the money. But it got expired and transaction cancelled because I wasn’t allowed to “accept” from my end because I did not add any bank account or wasn’t verified. In the end I bought another item and the seller gave me "discount" before I checked out food for payment.

On a separate occasion, I tried requesting refund 申请退款 before because the seller promised to give “cash back” for reviewing after purchase. This was refunded through my bank account because I paid with maybank2u.

So the only refund channel that I know of is through request refund method.

QUOTE(Mr Gray @ Oct 13 2017, 10:56 PM)
This is not true. We are automatically registered to Alipay when we want to make payment at Alibaba/Taobao/Tmall. Just install the Alipay app in you android/iPhone. And then there'll be QR code that you can send to the seller for him/her to refund. Our Alipay account can only be used to receive money. You cannot top-up the money inside Alipay as that function requires a Chinese bank account.

I've made one refund request to LEX, because they lost one of my packages. And they refunded the full amoutn successfully to my account. Just to share that, you will not get back 3% credit card charge or the 1.5% banking transfer charge for refunds. All of these are considered gone.

What's virtual items? I think the voucher can only be applied to certain items which have that logo "双11购物津贴"... So as long it has that, then it qualifies for this rebate. That is what I think so. need more sifu to enlighten.

by latest deveploment,

budget 2018 announce above rm800 only tax, but may only start on 1/1/2018. however, we knew even now below rm500 can also get tax just up to custom personnel "mood".

however, 20kg , better don't do it.

should not exceed 10kg by now as saw this news in somewhere, forgot where...

don't 100% trust forwarding co., the tax going bearable by recipient finally. if u complaint, they would just answer u "rarely" "unfortunately" this kind of thing, shipping fees already in their pocket.
*
Recently sea shipped 27KG machine from taobao. Not taxed or customs duty upon arrival. the shipping fee had include GST but luckily it wasn't that much. Item worth more than RM500

Anyone tried to buy Dashcam from Taobao before?
I bought 6ea of YiCam, using taobao direct, I wonder if it will have any trouble going through the freight, some claim that it's fine, some say no.

Lets say it get rejected, what other option that i have?  Can i file for a refund?
Bought it from Yi Official store, if it's prohibited it should be listed as not for sales outside of China?
*
Bro, don't worry so much. If it is stuck some where, you will see in your shipment status. So far, I bought so many different electronic items also never get rejected. IF it get rejected, I think you can request the freight forwarder to send it back to the shop with CNY charges.

And for items which are "restricted for International shipping", i use Ezbuy as an agent to ship for me. Got money sure no problem one. lol
