Hi, just started exploring Taobao. I am looking to ship quite alot of stuff together and is thinking of shipping by sea to save costs.

Is the only way to do so via third party agents/websites and not through TGCS? Any good sites to recommend going about this? Thanks in advance.

Air shipping is the fastest way. The rest depend on seller ship to the warehouse.

Yo guys, curious to know anyone tried Lazada(海运)seafreight before?

Recently bought a 27kg item using sea freight. Noticed there is a clause saying *代收消费税:马来西亚按货值收取6.00% means subject to Malaysia tax 6%. You can't find this clause if using airfreight, only sea freight has this.

Looks like it just cross the customs. China or Malaysia?. And there was some delay in the flight shipment. Well give it one day or two. Coz if it is stuck in Malaysia customs it will take some time to clear also, especially with the 5 days holiday. Lol. Our Customs sure damn a lot things to clear

Your item definitely shipped out from the zongtong china forwarder. Now the question is whether it has passed Malaysia customs.

In order to track in skynet or gdex, you need to get the "international" tracking number which Depends which forwarder you selected in the first place. Based on my experience, Skynet tracking number will be shown in taobao website after shipped out from china zongtong forwarder which can be tracked in skynet website . For gdex, even there is a international tracking number shown, it's not traceable at the local gdex website. So that one you need to check with taobao China forwarder.

And for international shipping fees, it depends whether you select for direct shipping (直送) or consolidated shipping (集运). And it should be paid before shipping out from china. Direct ship is paid up front. Consolidated will be paid separately upon reaching china forwarder warehouse

I whatsapp them the other day, and they told me the sea shipping fees already included for Malaysia tax 6% so that mean I wont get charge for GST anymore. Now just have to hope no customs duty when it passes customs.

Yes, it's included in the shipping fees. I think the 6% GST most likely is charge on the value of the shipping fees and not the value of the goods.

I am abit confused..
Example:
My Items Value RMB1000.
Weight 10kg, and sea freight shipping fees for 10kg is 100RMB.
So how much Taobao will charge for the shipping fees?

1) Total RMB106 (included GST 6%)
2) Total RMB100 (included GST6%)
3) Total RMB100 + RMB60 (RMB1000*6%)?

It should be (2). I bought CNY798 item paid shipping fees worth CNY232. Calculation as explain by zongtong customer service: 27kg * 8 + 16.

I am not sure what is the CNY 16 for though, maybe that is the 6% tax?

Hmm, if based on value of goods then I would have paid CNY 48. I think the tax that is calculate based on the value of the goods is customs duty tax.
