Kids nowadays just aren't interested in historical drama like this
they're more interested with eye candy pieces like Valerian

a half empty Dunkirk IMAX hall vs a full Valerian IMAX hall?

it's all about dollar & sense, man

how to say it? hmm.gif
left the imax hall both satisfied & dissatisfied

yeah, two contradicting emotions there laugh.gif

Satisfied:
from the moment the first shot was fired, it gonna put you to the edge of your seat, the sound effects & quality is one of the best I ever had in a cinema.
Plus the constant suspending score is great as well.
Editing also is superb, let your brain exercise a little bit.
Good air to air dog fights

Dissatisfied:
no emotion roller coaster, little character development, PG13 bloodless war scenes doh.gif
It felt too sterile, too clean
Are we supposed to feel connected to the young chap in the boat? Nope, not connected to him at all even at the end, just feel meh. He felt just like an unnecessary filler.

oh well, if you're looking for an emotional & brutal war story like Saving Private Ryan or Hacksaw Ridge, skip it, as you'll be disappointed. But nontheless, it's still a very good war movie, a PG13 war movie.

But, the superb sound effects in imax hall with supreme audio quality is already worth the ticket price wink.gif

Nolan tried to pull a fast one using the Spitfire pilot in the end to make ppl feel compassionate when he got captured.  Yup, didnt connect at all
