Well there are people who stay in PJ/Damansara who may not want to travel to Cheras just to watch a movie.

And have you watched IMAX in Velocity before? The seating arrangements there are just terrible, where you have to buy Indulge tickets to sit in the middle seats. Or else you will either be sitting too front or at the sides.

About the screen size, there is not much difference actually. Basically if no one tell you you won't know it's bigger. It's still nowhere near the size of a real IMAX 70mm screen.

GSC IOI City Mall not showing Dunkirk.

I live in Cyberjaya so the next choice is TGV DPulze but no IMAX
*
GSC always have their own weird policy that doesn't screen famous movies out there. I noticed before this.

End up I need to watch at TGV.

Just came back from IMAX. It really isn't Nolan if there's no mindfuck involved at some point, isn't it?

Gonna watch this Saturday.
So I heard the duration is just about 1hr 4xmins right?

Any complaints for it to be shorter than normal Nolan's film? Or .. just right?

Not sure if it's because I missed the opening scene (ugh!) but at one point I went "Wait what...oh. Oh."

Just came back from watching dunkirk in imax.

This is the best movie that utilizes the full potential of imax. And the sound. Holy sheett.. the sound of the spitfire. The sound of incoming bombs. Pls, watch this movie in imax as intended. I honestly think the sound effect is better than the imax camera visual lmao.

As for the movie itself. I thought it was pretty good. Story wise, it is simple. But nolan being nolan, lets just say that he manages to confuse some folks despite the simple storyline with signature nolan narrative structure laugh.gif wont spoil that for you.

Not much of character development going on, due to the way nolan directing this specific movie (as per the above description in previous paragraph). But there's never a dull moment in it due to very tight directing work from nolan.

Overall, a very good movie, technical masterclass from nolan. not my favorite nolan movie but still worth the imax ticket admission.

Solid 4/5 from me

Watched it in atmos cinema just now....haha for those who haven't watch this film, no need to watch it in imax.
There is no epic war scenes, this movie is all about retreat, don't set your hope too high looking for great war scene.

Saw some reviewers here, they confused people thought this movie is all about fighting the war.

Watching this in biggest LieMAX in M'sia. Apart from crisp clear thumping sound effects you still get the same aspect ratio as standard screen despite being 'closest' to 65mm. Intriguing and gripping from start to finish. Zimmer's continuous clock ticking score, beautiful cinematography, and Nolan directing. One of the best film of 2017.

Just watched it last night in imax2d, brought my dad to see it too.

For me, the movie was just.... Too clean.

No Gore, no Grit, not enough action, no sadness, no love..Not enough of everything.
And looks like all the Uniforms, equipment and vehicles just come out of factory the day before...just too clean

Anyway i liked the way Nolan did the timeline between land, water and sea to make it 'connected' and "edge of the seat" feeling and 'mind fuck' effect

Pity, this is nothing like Hacksaw Ridge or any of the top war movies for me.

Better save money and watch normal cinema. Cos except for the air dogfights and choppy sea, i dun see the need for imax.
But the sound directional for superb.

4/10 for me... Pity... .thats why never have high hopes before watching a movie...oklah..I give it 5/10 for the great sound effects

But think about it, yes, history shows the ppl were saved by the small boat ppl, but do you know how many small boats it takes to carry out 300,000 trrops? Lets say 300,000 / 30 per boat..yes, 10,000 boats, ok, lets say 5,000 boats enough oledi, but how many small boats you need in that movie? 10? 15 max? I expected more epic out of it.

Well, interestingly Kuching TGV is pricing the Imax at RM17, same price as normal hall tickets! I think many people don't know this!
