A. Could but they didnt. Well, I counted the dividend yearly in my mother's book, there is not a single sen missing. Just to see how much they give and whether it tally with what's being posted in the forum.
Fixed price fund confused you. They did charge annual management fee. If they didn't charge, you probably get 1% higher dividend like 7.4% or something instead of 6.4%.
Well despite it being 1%, the money still increase by 6.4%. So I will say that's still fair. Your principal didn't decrease.
So they did charged, from your dividend. The Rm1 fixed price gave you the illusion that your principal remain RM1 and didn't decrease, that's why you mistakenly thought that they didn't charge you management fee.
A sound strategy. Mine is similar to yours. Just that I diversify to USD, SGD and AUD. Also still holding some RM.
And instead of idling in the bank account, in the meantime waiting for stock market to go down further, I play DCI to earn interest. USD/RM pairing is still very attractive giving >20% interest. If you are daring to strike at spot, it is close to 30% !
Congratulation to those who think ringgit depreciation is good for the rakyat and will not be impacted by the depreciation if one consume locally. Perodua Malaysia has rewarded you with the increase of RM1k OTR price for the best seller model Axia 1.0 Standard G variant effective from 1st Oct.

Chinese media,... or Facebook ? I heard this from a client of mine who is into CHINESE-MEDIA. Perhaps we should start digging around for this news,... then we can come to conclusions amongst ourselves here. It's a hard world today, information is 'king',... need to know news and rumour coming from all angles.
What it said is,... I think, in essence...Chinese Premier Mr Li said that Chinese-Msian trade must be given a chance to stabilize. In order to achieve this, China will contribute by buying Msian bonds.
So,.. there is some truth to what my old client said.
He made the announcement before the the meeting with PM.
