Have you take out the protector?
It is good if it does not leave scratch.

We used to have this service on Sg. Wang ground floor before, then they sorta moved to LowYat Plaza on the 1st floor and then disappeared. Not using MOS coat but similar principle. Taking of the blade to the phone is kinda scary, but there are folks I knew who vouch by their meticulous handwork. Been to Taipei as well, and they had this service in Guanghwa and that little electronic mall near Taipei City Hall.

Did you try in your iPhone?

Personally I gave up already. I had ipad2, 4, mini2 and 4s followed by 5 for wife. Right now, I don't think I'll be buying any apple devices. Just crazy.

Would only consider if any telco could lower them to around 1.5k
*
For a bit more than 1.5k (excluding GST), you can probably get a 6S 16GB, if the leak on maxis' website is to be believed biggrin.gif

I look at it this way:

Bought last year iPhone 6 Plus RM4200. Resold it last month for RM3200. TO get the 6S model, since the price is the same, it should be around that same price IF currency didnt fall this bad this year. Technically, I should be only spending another RM1000 to get my new 6S Plus, but I now had to top up another RM500 to get the model that is priced the same because of depreciating RM. So it's additional RM1500 to get a new model, in which if saved for a year, that's around RM125 a month.

*
Wow, that's a great price smile.gif

I'd happily upgrade if I can get RM3k for my phone as well, heh heh...

Guys, need a bit of help here.
Which is a better place to buy iPhone?
Machines or Apple Store Online?
Because of the Apple Quality Control on recent years.. I would like to know where will I get better warranty and chances of replacements (of box sets) if I get a defective device?
(Because all the previous iPads I bought online or from machines have uneven color yellow at left and blue at right and I just live with it)

It did take a while, but I've circle of friends who are ready to receive my electronics secondhand, although with the way I take care of my items, it might as well be brand new to them. For them, I even allow installment payments, which makes the proposition of buying items from me, even more seductive. But these friends have to be really close to me, else it's full payment. biggrin.gif

Before that, it was sold in the Garage Sales forum. Pickup from there is a bit slow, and with the audience in this forum skewing towards younger audience with low purchasing power, I had to look elsewhere most of the time to sell my pre-loved devices. Tired of getting bombarded with "Best price please" or "trade with <insert device here> and topup <insert amount here>". A sale is a sale, not a trade or a topup, but it's a sign of impatience in young people these days: they dont bother taking time to read and want fast response on their terms only. nod.gif

Machines is definitely faster if you want the iPhone quicker, but you've got to wait in line for it la..
But if you want replacement Machines also the authorized service center.. So Apple will also ask you go to Machines.. Haha tongue.gif

i can vouch for their precision in handling the devices, noticed their existence ever since i've been actively travelling to taipei and exposed to the world of wrapping service. At first i wrapped my phone at another stall but their cut out aren't as precise as mos coat. (was using iphone 5 black color back then ) and we all know for the notorious scuffgate i searched up and down until i found mos coat. been loyal to their service ever since then.

Each and every single device i own will definitely get them wrapped up whenever i had the chance to go to taipei. My next device to be wrapped are my n5, the upcoming 6splus and my ipad air 2.

You shuold give them a try if you happen to travel again to taipei soon bro.

Anyway I did share my review on their service in my accessories thread in here

+1 on this. Also added benefit for my customers are my devices are always wrapped up, and put up with the best screen protector or case possible. thumbup.gif

The best part is you mention clearly that your item is fixed price and they still reply "PM best price". Gotta love their persistence! smile.gif

Belkin Debuts 'Charge Dock' With First Integrated Chargers for Apple Watch and iPhone

QUOTE

Belkin's Charge Dock is priced at $130, which is expensive, but understandable. I'm sure built-in Apple hardware and certification for that hardware don't come cheap. At $130, it's the equivalent of paying $65 for an Apple Watch dock and $65 for an iPhone dock - not an exorbitant price, but it may be more than most people would spend.

Pros:
- Fewer cables
- Compact design
- High quality
- Built-in chargers
- Adjustable Lightning connector
- Rubber protection for iPhone

Cons:
- Apple Watch doesn't feel secure
- Expensive
- Cable is ugly
- Only comes in silver/chrome

One thing that's kinda bugging me is that the iPhone and the Watch have different slant angles. The iPhone is like more sheer, while the Watch seems less slanted.

Hot off the presses!

The App Thinning/App Slicing feature that laid dormant in your current iOS 9.0.2 is now working. App Thinning allows you to download only the specific version of the app for your device without also downloading the portion meant for other devices. Meaning if there are apps developed for both iPhone and iPad, until now, the version you've downloaded are meant to work universally between both iPhones and iPads, and now with App Thinning, your device only downloads the version required for itself and not the other. This saves lots of storage space, so it's good news for 16GB iPhone users. rclxms.gif

Doing it this way, by the time approaching 12 months, it can still fetch a high price and folks like us who upgrades every year can still roll the funds around so that we spend minimum possible to buy the next version. Waiting for another year means depreciation of the device at the 2 year mark, and if I ever hold a device that long, I might as well keep it, the resale value would've already dropped to much to make it worthwhile anymore. That's what happens to my Lumia 1020.

Yup. If there is a price drop, it'll have to be from me, not from their persuasions. Some are just preying on the desperation level of the seller to gain cheap phones, and even after getting it cheap, they still wanna nitpick at tiny blemishes hoping to score lower prices. shakehead.gif
