QUOTE(yclam5729 @ Oct 7 2015, 01:32 PM) Last year I ordered from Maxis 1 week before the launch date, got it on midnight the launch date at Maxis center, unless they change else I would hope to be the same. Last year the website was so slow and giving so many problems. A lot of people did not get their phones delivered, etc and it was a complete screw up. I even get a RM200 accessories voucher from Maxis as a gift/apology. |

Today, I read about this Samsung VS TSMC nonsense. Apparently the TSMC chip provides a much better battery life but the source/screenshot doesn't look very convincing. I downloaded the app and found out that mine is a Samsung chip (I'd prefer TSMC if I could choose) but battery life has been great so far. Based on my normal usage pattern, I go home with my 6S+ around 60% battery left. My 6+ would end up around 30%.

QUOTE(kokhoong0624 @ Oct 9 2015, 10:55 AM) YES for a phone so expensive I would want to get the TSMC chip too... Apple says 2%-3% difference only but that user says he tested and up to 2 hours difference in battery life. WTF, that's a lot Wanted to buy but held back because of a 20% less battery life in benchmark test.. And statement by apple too.. |

QUOTE(underGr0und_8 @ Oct 9 2015, 11:08 AM) I dont think you can compare 6+ and 6S+ as new chip are supposed to be more efficient too, and to a fact that your 6+ battery might be degraded over the time Yes, the 6S+ battery life is superior compared to 6+ but I also remember very well that when I first started using 6+ (new unit), the battery life was really good but no match to the current 6S+. The point I'm trying to say is, my 6S+ comes with Samsung chip (a bit sad) and yet provide good battery life so not sure if TSMC chip is really so much better? |

QUOTE(underGr0und_8 @ Oct 9 2015, 11:17 AM) Yea i like the battery life of my 6+ and looking forward if 6S+ is much more better Just download the app/software:but how do we identify the chip ? coming from a 5S to 6+, it is like jumping from hell to heaven http://www.cultofmac.com/391548/chipgate-h...-check-a9-chip/ I tried Lirum Device Info Lite from App Store but I guess Apple made them change the app so it no longer tells what chip your phone uses. Hence I used CPU identifier and found out that mine is a Samsung; sigh QUOTE(oldKyoo @ Oct 9 2015, 11:20 AM) If the TSMC can give me 1 hour extra, I'd be more than happy to change |
