honestly, I do no think there is a standard earning per age .

The general rule is how much is you can save at the end of the day. my opinion is considering if one is really carrying big responsibility such as paying car loan, housing loan, feeding your parents, treat your gf occassionally, you should at least have 10% of savings.(unless you are earning RM900 per month)

TS is no doubt having a luxurious life. once life hits hard to TS, TS will face many troubles .

If I were earning that much as TS , I guarantee myself can save at least RM4000 per month out of RM5500 nett pay.

TS should be able to save at least RM2000 per month.

actually i want to know is there any standard earning per age, means at 25 how much income should have age 30 how much income should have and so on so we can judge are we still gonna work as what we are now or we should change, better to know earlier than it is too late.

yea agreed.. im thinking of one like this

but not exactly that.. i personally think 10k at 27 is not too shabby
or establish something like net worth perhaps?

realistically speaking.. i know some friends of mine with income like ts, drive city n own a house.. no idea about their saving but bonus alone easily 10k per year

for me i earn much less.. have to make do different way..

rclxub.gif that chart is the Total Basic savings Required in EPF Account 1 . before can consider to take out for investment any surplus.

i hope sadru is refering to ts salary not fr the chart i attached biggrin.gif

to me <30yo should focus more on development of ourselves than how much we currently are making.

thats the one that will give better idea on the income projectile in future yrs to come.
that means, other than just focus on saving and property investment, must also spend n invest on courses n books or networking whatever suits u.

hey shopping for good outfit can go a long way to which its acceptable to be a good investment as well right? wink.gif

Actually using the amount are not right, I prefer to use % from my salary, it will be much easier.
My target is 50% to go to savings from my salary.

Your car is killing you period.

RM1.2k that's not inclusive of Insurance + road tax + service maintenance + changing tyre + touch & go + petrol.

My car itself took me approx rm8k on top of it's monthly installment. Yours most likely somewhere around 25k liao.
