And... what's the difference between cw-20/ cw-25 and cw-30? cw-20 stand for 2.00mm inner diameterThanks for advice... cw-25 stand for 2.50mm inner diameter cw-30 stand for 3.00mm inner diameter only difference i know is the size |

QUOTE(ElaineChewMeow @ Sep 15 2015, 09:18 AM) Newbie question: What tank did u use?Last night i changed the cotton several times cos got quite loud pop sound and sparks. According to my friend it's either the cotton too loose or too tight, if too tight it will have burning smell, or another reason is due to local juice problem. After several times changed the cotton finally it has much lesser sparking sound, taste quite ok. However this morning I tried to puff it, the pop sound back again and this time have burning smell. Regardless I have lowered or increased the wattage, it still the same. Is that means I have to change my cotton again? But i didn't it out. |

QUOTE(gunners_my @ Sep 15 2015, 09:18 AM) ic... bro, say if I wanted to make a standard coil exactly like the one provided for subtank with 0.5ohm... which one shl I go to? If i am not mistaken, subtank's little screwdriver is 2mm, right? actually if u want to get any amount of ohm.. it depends on which thickness wire u use too, not only the size of inner diameter.. 26awg with 6wrap , u can get around 0.8~0.9 ohm.. yes the subtank screwdriver is 2mm .. |

QUOTE(ElaineChewMeow @ Sep 15 2015, 09:40 AM) Right most one. What is that called, Mini RBA? oh it called subtank. Btw my device - Subox Mini. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « well about the burning smell, from my experience .. the problem is from cotton itself .. u need to play with it until u find a right cotton amount for the tank.. for my personal cotton setting, i love to spread the cotton not just leave it twisted just be patient and keep trying .. someday it will be just a peace of cake for u |

QUOTE(Muffins @ Sep 15 2015, 10:16 AM) Here, use this. There's an app for smartphones also by the same name ---> Steam Engine im with u bro.. more big diameter, more easy to sumbat cotton.. i just stay with 3mm, maybe will go down to 2.5mm someday .. i love to coil everyday too Click the paper clip icon at the top that takes you to the coil calculation tool. Punch in the specifics of your wire, diameter, gauge, target resistance and it will tell you the number of wraps to use. To answer your question, increasing diameter = increasing wire length used to make a coil = higher resistance. It changes by a tiny amount so for example if I make a 2.5mm dia coil and I get 1.2ohm and one day i feel like making 1.25 or 1.3ohm I don't have to add a wrap, i can just change to 3mm dia coil same wraps. I usually use 2.5 or 3mm coils so i can sumbat more cotton. it's just a me thing. everyone has their preference, how do you find your preference? Coil everyday and experiment. You will eventually settle on a resistance, diameter, wick style that you like. |
