changed to subtank version 3... damn, I think except the flavour is better and ease of opening up the rba... the rba v 3 really terrible... leaking and spitting all the time... I think I prefer rba version 2... so far, never had problems of open up the rba like what mentioned by a lot... at least, no leaking and no spitting... kinda stable...
what u guys think between rba version 2 and version 3?

QUOTE(stix @ Sep 11 2015, 11:33 AM) Exact same problems i had. It is your wicking style. I have fixed mine by separating the cotton into both sides of the juice hole. Don't use too much cotton. bro.. yup. could be as v2 doesn;t require much cottons... v3.. because of the two big hole, i thought too little of cotton could made the hole uncovered... so, maybe my cotton too much... any good measurement for cotton? thanks for advice...

Folks.. for kuro koiler.. said, if I want to use khantal 26 to make 0.5-0.6ohm, which kuro koiler is suitable? As seen in fastech, there are cw-20, cw025 and cw-30. which one should I buy? And... what's the difference between cw-20/ cw-25 and cw-30?
Thanks for advice...

QUOTE(rastaa @ Sep 15 2015, 10:15 AM) cw-20 stand for 2.00mm inner diameter cw-25 stand for 2.50mm inner diameter cw-30 stand for 3.00mm inner diameter only difference i know is the size .. i love to use 3.00 inner diameter .. easy for me to change the cotton.. ic... bro, say if I wanted to make a standard coil exactly like the one provided for subtank with 0.5ohm... which one shl I go to? If i am not mistaken, subtank's little screwdriver is 2mm, right?

QUOTE(nekkidgramma @ Sep 15 2015, 11:01 AM) A set of them is like 5$. Individually it'll cost 3 smackaroos. SKU 2066300But if you really insisted to get only one of them, then get the 2.5mm. The red one. Bro, I am a bit confused... since the blue screwdriver is 2mm, why get the 2.5mm? Thanks again for advice...

QUOTE(rastaa @ Sep 15 2015, 11:05 AM) actually if u want to get any amount of ohm.. it depends on which thickness wire u use too, not only the size of inner diameter.. 26awg with 6wrap , u can get around 0.8~0.9 ohm.. yes the subtank screwdriver is 2mm .. thanks, bro.. I am using 26 khantal... so, with standard 5 wrap, I shld be able to get the 0.5-0.6ohm I want... but, what's the advantage of bigger diameter by what suggested by bro nekkidgramma... since standard blue screwdriver is 2mm only... thanks again for further advice

QUOTE(Muffins @ Sep 15 2015, 11:16 AM) Here, use this. There's an app for smartphones also by the same name ---> Steam EngineClick the paper clip icon at the top that takes you to the coil calculation tool. Punch in the specifics of your wire, diameter, gauge, target resistance and it will tell you the number of wraps to use. To answer your question, increasing diameter = increasing wire length used to make a coil = higher resistance. It changes by a tiny amount so for example if I make a 2.5mm dia coil and I get 1.2ohm and one day i feel like making 1.25 or 1.3ohm I don't have to add a wrap, i can just change to 3mm dia coil same wraps. I usually use 2.5 or 3mm coils so i can sumbat more cotton. it's just a me thing. everyone has their preference, how do you find your preference? Coil everyday and experiment. You will eventually settle on a resistance, diameter, wick style that you like. oh.. now, I get it.. the diameter stuff actually affect the resistance... so, if I want to stick to the original coil as provided by subtank, blue 2.0mm is the correct choice... but, a higher diameter can provide more flexibility... thanks, man

QUOTE(rastaa @ Sep 15 2015, 11:23 AM) im with u bro.. more big diameter, more easy to sumbat cotton.. i just stay with 3mm, maybe will go down to 2.5mm someday .. i love to coil everyday too .. sure we will learn something thanks, bro.. got all the answer I want... hand shaky at times.. so, traditional way of building a coil so frustrating at times..
