Guys, this is regarding coil setup...

Lets not jump to clapton or twisted for now. The usual coil wraps as we know that more wraps means more resistance. But how bout the diameter of the wraps?

How does larger or smaller diameter effect on the ohm? Logically i can say larger diameter require longer wire, thus higher resistance..... but when it come to vapor production and taste, im still not clear.

its like buying at 100 units bulk before shipping price per unit  laugh.gif
http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp

larger diamater = more length = higher ohms  laugh.gif

generally for basic coils, tighter diameter = more flavour, larger diameter = more flavour

YMMV  laugh.gif

Morning vapers! some suggest mech mod and dripper to chase clouds. I think my derringer is as good a dripper as any other, So:

1) What would be a good mech mod to get?
2) I have heard hybrid mech mods. What are those?
3) Whats the difference between spring and magnetic button?
4) How do I determine whether the battery (Sony VTC5) is capable to supply for the build I made?
5) Would answering all the above solve the mysteries of the universe?
*
Currently im using mechmod for my daily vaping needs. Here some review on your queries:-

1) Any mech will do. I prefer the tube type like the Caravela while some opt for box type which on my opinion quite dangerous of having two batteries instead of one like the Cherry Bomber.

2) My daily mech is a hybrid mechmod, Google Limitless Mod and you can see the top part of the mech has direct contact of the atty and battery. You got to be careful not to leak juices on the battery as it is direct contact.

3) Go for magnetic, trust me. No sangkut2 like the spring and very nice to be pressed frequently.

4) VTC5 and Solotech are the best but i just use brown LGH2

5) The universe is within your satisfaction once you get the first hit......oh yeah get a copper or brass and never steel type if you wanna cloudchasing. My mech currently firing at 89watts of goodness

I do but its on the way all over from US rclxms.gif

btw on reversed polarities, my frend has this sigelei telescopic mech that hes been using almost a month. funny thing is only last week i saw him taking off the battery to be replaced and when he does that i saw the negative side on the top making the contact with the atty! i was like "seriously man"?! shocking.gif and he said hes been vaping with reversed battery for months now. My take is, the circuit is still can be completed regardless reversed or not, just the safety issue he is yet to experience...haha

Good Monday everyone. I encountered an issue whereby i got metallic vaping taste for past few days when is started using CLAPTON.

Im on RDA at 0.3 ohm and firing around 60 watts, every draw ive taken will give me the burnt taste of metallic. Not the dry cotton taste because ive check the cotton is wet and no hot spots but more on the coil steel-metallic taste yucks. At same setup with NORMAL coils, ive no issue, but when i change to CLAPTON it happens. Why?

Please help icon_question.gif
