local ejuice has a typical 1-5% sucralose in it. US ejuice has a typical 0-2% sucralose.

a general rule is that in one ejuice, you would have 80% PG+VG+Nic, and 20% flavouring + cooling + sucralose.

sucralose is a highly concentrated (>700x sweeter than sugar of the same amount) artificial sugar. higher than stevia.

so imagine if the ejuice has 5% sucralose, that means just 15% flavouring. if it's cooling, then flavouring is lesser somemore.

the fun starts when you have many leftover small batches of simple (1 or 2-3 flavours) ejuice, and you start to mix them up in your tank filling I didn't know blackcurrant and honeydew tasted sooooo good... but after my raya trip back to Kelantan, now I know

okay lemme teach you about this weird but awesome steeping method. this applies to DIYers as well as people who have many bottles of the same ejuice.

in the wine industry, aging (steeping) wine takes a long long time. but demand is huge. so to keep up with demand, they have to age quicker, which is impossible unless you are martin mcfly. so they devised this steeping method that makes wine (and now beer too) steep less time but have complex taste and flavour - solera steeping.

the idea is simple. take one batch of wine and age it naturally. after a while, mix it with a freshly-produced wine of the same kind and age it naturally as well. so now you have a wine that has this aged taste, and fresh taste (2 flavours). if you do it again, you will have FOUR flavours (aged, semi-aged, aged + semi-aged, fresh) if you keep repeating, the flavours increase exponentially as per geometric sequence. if you mix 10 times, you will have super complex wine that superior tastebuds will be able to taste 512 types of flavour - 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512.

now do it with your ejuice. say you have apple cheesecake ejuice for example. buy 1 bottle and steep it like a month or two. then buy a freshly-made bottle and mix it together (goncang pon cukup). now you probably taste a fresh cheesecake, a well cooked cheesecake flavours. steep for a month. then repeat once more.

now you have a very very complex 30ml x 3 ejuice that have multiple levels of taste. bear in mind that this only works for bakery/milky ejuice as it takes longer steeping time to let the flavours come out compared to fruit-based.

also, if your freshly-bought ejuice taste not as good as your steeped old same ejuice, drop a bit of the steeped old same ejuice into the new bottle. shake, and let it sit. the steeped ejuice will help to fasten steeping time of the new bottle ejuice.

ultrasonic helps with the aging. but to make your ejuice more complex, this is (one) of the way.

the % plays a part

diff steeping stages won't many any diff in the end

some flavour masks certain flavours. as long as you understand that, then DIY away

that's common and normal. most sucralose solution are 10% sucralose crystals and 90% PG. suc is 700x sweeter than sugar (taste a drop in your mouth just for kicks lel).

local ejuice use around 2-5%. imagine lel

whenever I DIY, I try to perfect a particular ejuice without suc. if it's "good enough" then I try to add some just to see if it's any difference (at most I use 2%, and that's only once lel).

suc, EM, cotton candy, dragonfruit, etc are flavour enhancers. certain flavourings need suc to shine, like a common example would be mango. i'm still trying to perfect my mango without or very less suc.

stevia is less sweeter than suc.

I forgot the actual figure, but it's like

normal sugar = 1 sweet
sucralose = 700 sweet
stevia = 30 sweet

something like that.

make your own la. get 100ml PG, add in 11grams of stevia powder in the bottle, shake like mad and leave it for a few days or a week. shake everyday if possible. and voila, you got yourself a 111ml worth of stevia sweeteners for your eliquids

HOWEVER!

you gotta check the stevia powder. very very difficult to get a pure (or almost pure) stevia powder as pure stevia powder is very expensive! so most powders in the market are mixed with...... something (your guess is good as mine).

might as well get 11 grams of sucralose crystals TBH.

if you fancy coffee made from authentic illy coffee beans, wait next week

EM to make the creamy pop out. but like suc, it'll gunk your coils.


if you can source some suc crystals or EM crystals, or even stevia powders, take a small pinch and put it in your ejuice and shake. should work on 50/50 ejuice.
