Read the link on LYN's front page... QUOTE The daily also reported that Hon Hai won orders from Apple for its new 15-inch 'MacBook' personal computers which it will deliver starting next month or in January. Source : ForbesOpinions? I think it is not necessary....there is already a 15 inch MBP already.....not to mention the price......

Well, not everyone prefers the MBP design over MB's. And, not everyone needs that extra horsepower when it comes to graphics... So, it's all a matter of preferences.

It'd be disappointing if this is true...a 15" macbook is not what i'm aiming for...Apple should seriously seriously seriously release a 13" macbook pro instead... I want something light & portable, but unfortunately the 13" macbook's specifications(especially the graphics ) isn't good enough for me... What would be nice is either a 13" MBP, or a 13" MB with optional graphics options... Something light for computing on the go... Don't need a big screen, planning to hook it up to an external monitor when using the notebook at home anyways...

lokgotz, please see the following two articles for a bit of clarification on the issue: http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=2125http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/11/20061115090741.shtmlQUOTE The article also briefly mentions Hon Hai receiving a contract for a 15" MacBook, due to be delivered next year or in January. This most likely refers to Hon Hai simply becoming another supplier of the 15" MacBook Pro rather than a new 15" MacBook model. My personal take on a 15" MacBook? The 13" MacBook is already quite heavy at 5.2 pounds (2.36 kg) compared to the 15" MacBook Pro's 5.6 pounds (2.54 kg). I think the MacBook looks great and all, but it's not necessary for Apple to pump out at 15" model. Apple would really have to work on differentiating the MBP and the MB if that were to happen. Better to allow the MacBook to keep to the 13" bracket.

Would be nice if they upgraded the 13 inch Macbooks to 15 inches and keep the price at the same time !

That would be unlikely because panels aren't cheap but you'll never know...
