hello, thanks for reply. pls find comment below,

If it's obvious you can see the dead pixel then it should be covered.

There are various reasons for the flare.
1) Your friend's lens have better coating to reduce the flare (I think this would be the more unlikely than other reasons)

coating? you mean the manufacturing process coating? if yes then its purely luck then...as i googled many have this lens flare issue but definitely not the other ip6 i tried on. its like perfect, even i point it directly at a spotlight, no lens flare!

2) What same light source? If it's the sun, the intensity of the glare each hour/day is different. Clouds movement/shade affects as well.

i pointed it near a spot light. candle light produce lens flare too. but it does not happen to fluorescent light though. the light must be intense.

3) A slight variance in angle can also affect/produce/reduce the flare

same camera angle was used

4) Camera settings/white balance/exposure/focal length/etc is different?

i've ensured the same settings was used as well  biggrin.gif

nevertheless, i'll try to send this in to apple and see..  hmm.gif

how you all check any dead pixels??
*
first take a picture with flash activated on a piece of white A4 paper (or anything that is white).
secondly take a picture with flash deactivated on a black surface.

now u have a black and white picture. now bump up your screen brightness to maximum.(it may hurt your eyes)

third step is to go to the white picture, and look carefully for any black dot that is permanent. do the same for the black picture, but now look for a white dot. if u have a white or black dot, then u have a dead pixel. if u found none, congratulations, your screen is perfect rclxms.gif
