Holy crap, I have the same problem today! Did you find a solution? Been deleting and deleting and it keeps eating up space!

and i do noticed that whatsapp being wonky after i upgraded it... so yeah... hopefully u guys didnt update to the newest version of whatsapp... it is what been occupying ur space lately... it never happened once till now.

I did notice it being laggy as hell. Anyway, deleted Whatsapp and suddenly I have 43gbs of free space. So yeah, it is Whatsapp that's causing the issue.
