I've been having these exact problems with IP6+ for a few months already. I thought mine was remotely operated by a hacker, as it kept typing randomly.
Did factory-reset a few days ago, still unresolved.

Will go to Celcom for advice next week.

I think it's due to the attached Map apps.

my phone still can use but just that the touch screen is not so responsive, I just have to suck up to it until IPhone 7 officially launch at the end of September.

MAP application that is packaged together with IPhone.
The problem will go away after a few days but will come back once I tap on the MAP app.
It's so bad that I can't even answer call as the screen becomes unresponsive.

I checked with Mac City @ 1U yesterday. They don't repair/replace the screen.
For IP6+, they offer to replace with similar unit, but got to top-up RM1.7k.
