Tires are the only contact that translates movement for your car to the road and can mean the difference between you having an accident and avoiding it. So think about that before you go and buy some cheapo unknown crappy tires.

If it is brand new, should be OK.

Never opt for used tires unless you're selling off the car.

Brand new budget is better than used branded ?
Can I use 55 series or 175/65?
155>175 too much increase?

No, I'd rather buy a good used well known tires than the unknown cheapo brand you mentioned above! Heck I wouldn't even use it even if they were given free to me!

Used tyres have unknown history.

Still, I can physically inspect it to judge the condition and I would have no doubt of the original quality of the brands. So if you tell me to drive over 200kph and whack sweeping fast bends say using a used GY F1 vs using this Cromax or whatever the heck it is, no brainer I'd still take that used F1 anytime any day (provided I've inspected them properly and happy with the condition).

Expensive tyres spent alot of money on branding hence its expensive. Tayars r all te same, its just latex. U r not using it for motosport racing, As long as the thread is not botak it shd provide sufficent grip.

Well it seems like you've never driven with very good tires before, or maybe never slip and slide due to some shitty tires. Many are like you thinking a tire is just another piece of black round rubber/latex and they are all the same. Yes of course there's part of the branding value there but there are also a lot of technology built in and developed into this piece of black rubber. I tell you, tires is part of the car that can improve your handling characteristics the most or vice versa. Try driving and cornering with some shitty tires like Silverstone or this Comax or what ever Vietnam & China brand tires and compare that with a high performance Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, etc2. If you still cannot tell/feel the difference then I cannot say anything anymore. laugh.gif

I ve been to 3shops. The only 165  60 i can find is goodyear n commax. If i take 55 series, plenty of choices. I heard goodyear get swollen easily. Is it true?
*
No, not true. Who says that? I'm using Goodyear F1 for >3yrs now (>50k kms) often very hard/aggressive driving, pushing them in the corners, driving >100kph in the rain, often cruising at >180kph constantly in the dry. They serve me well and does not disappoint me. It's a no brainer, choose the Goodyear instead of that unknown comax.

With ur kind of driving u r lucky to get 20k out of any type of tyres. Wear mileage is around 27k for normal driving.
But of course with rotation it wear out evenly not necessary longer.

Well as I said earlier, my current GY F1 is already >50k km without able to do rotation coz I'm on a staggered setup? But yeah, my fronts are looking pretty much destroyed already now. laugh.gif
