 Being charged for data roaming

Hi Hotlink,

This is regarding about case C16761784 that was raised since 22nd August 2015.

I have given feedback that I was charged for data roaming usage even when data roam is set off on my mobile device.

Furthermore, the dates and timings that was shown on the statement tallys with the dates that I was in Malaysia.

This could be a system error on your end.

Will it be possible to provide updates on the above investigations done and also reverse the data roaming charges back to my account?

Let me share the non confidential reply here as well.

Hi,

I have received a response from the HOTLINK Red application and the explaination is not satisfactory.

As mentioned a few times,

1) My phone is set to no data roaming when overseas
2) I was in Malaysia when the roaming charges occured! I seriously do not understand why was I charged in Malaysia for using data roaming.
3) I seriously believe that this data charges are caused when i accessed the HOTLINK RED application when on data. (Do take note that data roam is off. Thus I am only able to access it when i am in Malaysia. There is a big problem with your HOTLINK RED application)

I will suggest that you call me to clarify at +xx xxxxxxxx and provide me with an email address where I can send you pictures of my passport with the exit and entry dates.
