hi it is wise to change the owner name? need to pay deposit if change. some as high as 1000. furthermore some ex owner are foreigner. sure tnb not able to return the deposit to them. what are the problems if I don't change the name? some TNB bills is still under the developer name... |

In my opinion, I think not much different, rarely did TNB use the register owner name to chase for electricity bill, they just shut the unit off the grid.
But anyway, I am interested to find out as well... good question. |

legally should be changed.
but if the ex- owner don't bother to change, i see it the new owner has nothing to lose. but for assessment and quit rent better change, could be useful for income tax relief if for rental purpose. |

QUOTE(forever1979 @ Sep 10 2015, 10:30 AM) legally should be changed. can't find the ex owner as he is a bankruptcy I guess (that's why the property went for auction)but if the ex- owner don't bother to change, i see it the new owner has nothing to lose. but for assessment and quit rent better change, could be useful for income tax relief if for rental purpose. I think water bill can also use as tax relief (if no tenant) |
