DxO is too on technical hardware but never in actual. I believe Z5 having a great sensor but against Sony didn't well manage it. It is better than last time but still not good enough.

Against if this camera use by others manufacturer will be much awesome output possibility.

btw, just need to tinker with the ISO (and exposure if necessary. normally i dont).
higher ISO for lowlight shots
lower ISO for daylight shots

Higher ISO for low light will make most photos noise.

I suggest use low shutter speed rather than ISO, but off course need steady hand or tripod.

Manual mode is important, but at this price point, or for a flagship device, I expect it to be capable of taking high quality picture in auto mode. The manual mode is there to allow for even better picture.

They cant expect people to treat their smartphone like a pro level full frame SLR at all time. Most of the times we need to hv just a simple point n shoot..

That's why camera on iPhone is so popular. It's doesnt take the best quality image out there, but with a simple point and shoot - even for a newbie, it's capable to take a good one.

The vibe of their review seem to suggest it's better to go out and bought the z3+ though.

The problem is Sony's Manual is not a full manual. Even if you manually select an ISO, the longest shutter speed possible is 1/8s only. Otherwise the photo will be under exposed and you do not know it until you take the photo. In short it's not very useful.

i know. to solve most of the lowlight issues, need to set preferable ISO.

it's time for Sony to set full manual controls as one of the full manual controls i have seen on a mobile phone so far is LG G4.

As for the camera issues,I'm sure there are ROM's or Custom Mod that can tune the camera properly.

i read over XDA that they use an app called Better Camera. worth to mention, they say it's better than the stock app.

Nayy...it js a phone. At this price point and with Sony's name with their own sensor, people would expect it js work...to rely and need to always thinker with setting to solve the issue then it defeat the purpose. Manual mode is an option to further improve. LG which hardly known in photography field can give above or excellent image in auto mode and also give option as manual mode for people that looking for more. Why Sony can't?
Sony RX100 in fully auto mode can give excellent image quality with just point and shoot. (Yeah its camera with 1inch sensor) but you get the point rite.
