QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Sep 28 2015, 01:47 PM) Damn. Now forced to choose between Z5 Dual or Z5 Compact. So the estimated price will be around RM2399? Need to decide whether to sign up for pre order in SG or not. SGD828 for Z5 Compact with free dock with delivery after Oct 19. This post has been edited by +Newbie+: Sep 30 2015, 03:13 PM |

Was thinking about this to replace note 2, but no way if above 3k.
Sony should be smart and take the opportunity to lure away some Samsung owners. |

Look at the comments at PA lol. It's getting very dramatic when Sony takes the top place in DxOmark
I'm not with any brand. This post has been edited by raymondtong94: Oct 1 2015, 11:58 AM |

Finally Sony had catch up on its Camera vs others. Other makers using Sony sensors had been on upper hand vs Sony themselves

QUOTE(silentsunami @ Oct 1 2015, 11:27 AM) While DxOmark is very reputable for their sensors and lenses tests (for DSLR), I do not think the same can be said for the Mobile section as they do not publish the methodology they use to test. Every test also different from each phones as they took it at different time and subjects. How do they quantify them? They did not even put the EXIF data when they did the low light test.I give you one example: I used to have a 808PV, Lumia 1020 and just recently acquired a Z3. According to the scores, 808PV has 88 for noise section, 1020 has 91 while Z3 has 84. From my experience, Z3 is not even close to those two Nokias. And guess what, same ISO to ISO, 808PV is miles ahead of 1020 (don't even say Z3). But the scores do not reflect them. They might say "1020 has higher score because of OIS and you can use lower ISO and slower shutter speed to compensate etc". But I can't find the EXIF data in their tests. It's really doubtful how they quantify them. |

No Z6 for a long time? That's a good thing. I don't want to change my phone every 6 months! |

*crosses fingers*
Anyways, based on my uneducated barbarian eyes, Superior Auto set to 8mp is actually really quite decent. At 23mp, picture is full of noise and even blurry. This post has been edited by +Newbie+: Oct 1 2015, 01:26 PM |

Not sure if I want to get the Z5 Premium or wait for the ones with the 820 inside. Hear there's a lot of differences compared to 810! Only need to wait a few months for the next one. |
