Ospina was never really that good IMO.

I have said since day 1 if you check my post history that when it comes to Szcezsny vs Ospina I would pick Szcezsny any day.

Ospina was introduced into the team just when our main defenders came back from injury last year and that really made him look better than he was. Ospina was really really poor the last few games of last season conceding soft goals which partly cost us 2nd place but as usual fans chose to abscond him from criticism because he was a "favorite" unlike Szcezsny.

Sorry man I have never really rated Ospina as a top keeper.

Then again his mistake yesterday was really bizarre and should not be committed by any top flight keeper much less a top club keeper. Its like Almunia and Flappyhandski all over again.

goodness this coming from their own legend..but it's a bitter truth...but one can always take positive from this message,
if their fan's keep clinging on with their past..they will be stagnant....its best quickly accept the current reality and built on from there

a few of my pool friends keep saying...ure lucky arsenal get sanchez ONLY because his gf wants to stay at London..and that liverpool has all the bargaining power with suarez etc.
in my mind that's one helluva horse shit...if I were sanchez I'd like to thibk moving go arsenal suit his football better, playing with arguably better players and overall better chances to win trophy

br has been living on borrowed time while their fan's are somewhat clinging on history...they have money alright
.but it won't be easy to have marquee signings at the rate their club is going...this much I feel for them.

Looking at pool's current squad, they totally have zero stars/didn't win anything since Suarez (well he was pretty much a one man show and Gerard has passed his peak). It's just that the elder generation still thinks every game is going to be like Istambul's game.
