Alamak! Another one!
It depends on your preference.. the most important factor of all: GAMES. Buy the handheld which has games you like. Now.. PSP has extra features such as surfing, media playing which includes MP3's and videos.. If you feel you need to have those.. Then the PSP may be for you. The PSP is also a powerful handheld.. So you'll get shiny graphics like those games on the PS2. For the Nintendo DS.. It's just games games and more games.. If you like to play something interesting which can't be emulated/played on any other platform.. Then.. the DS may be for you. The graphics compared to the PSP on the DS is way lacking.. Looking like a finer-tuned PS1 game. But don't let that stop you from buying a DS. |

Depends on ur pref. If you like new way of playing game or like playing with touch screens, go for DS. If you want a lot of eye-candy or widescreen, get PSP.

The NDS can play ROMs stored on flashcards, but these are considered pirated games. Please refer to the thread in the Nintendo forums.
Price around RM 550 to 700. |

lol, nice thread, i like watching these threads, always fire in it, lil or biggy...
from handheld to console, real nice... if u wan hardcore graphic gaming, go psp. if u wan cute game n more cute n original(cant get from other console)games, go fer ndsl. if u wanna show to ur fren, definitely go fer psp. if u are imbaressed by poking a toy in the train, go fer psp. if u are sick of the size n weight, go fer nds. if u wanna dengar song, for ur information, they are both capable of doing that, except u hav to buy a catridge fer nds to do that. if u wanna sit in the toilet n play games, and u are RICH(a must), get both!!! |

Don't forget the fun factor
fun factor of NDSL is 100x of PSP Lots of innovative games on NDSL compared to PSP PSP you just press buttons to play, NDSL you press buttons, you got stylus to scratch, draw, touch, and it also got a mic for you to blow or issue verbal command This post has been edited by greyshadow: Nov 21 2006, 03:01 PM |

Alamak!
Have to clarify. The price I quoted was for the NDS Lite. I meant to say that you can source for your own sources to run homebrew apps. Some DS owners who run homebrew can be reached in the Nintendo forums. As far as pirated games are concerned, I don't support the usage and downloading of ROMS in any way. Please be advised, ya? @fa_aroy,
wah... looks like my parents aren't the only one... anyway, it's a good time to tell them about the Wii... muahahahaha back to the topic... one more thing... the PSP is noisy... the lens motor is one friggin noisy whirring @#$%^&*() conclusion is... if u want a PS2 in your hand, get the PSP - be ready for longish loading times and redundant gameplay (if u already have a PS2; and it's gameplay not games i meant) get the NDSLite if you want pickup and go gaming, cute and interactive gameplay, and available in 5 colours... hehehe... yeah was just taking a jab at it... but then those colours are not available worldwide, and they will cost a bomb here. just like the satin silver slim PS2 which costs much more than the normal black.
anyway, the PSP has great graphics and a very sexy screen. No doubt about those... to each its own I would say... so the choice is yours. would be great if u can test them out for at least a day each so that you know how each machine is like but not everyone has that luxury. |

Both can do that. PSP and NDSL
Its the difference of what type of game you want. Do your prefer graphic? or do you prefer gameplay? |

hello people, nu here.
just bought a psp not too long too ago. And i'm loving it. Playing ad-hoc/online is the main reason why i bought it, with games like monster hunter freedom. tekken. burnout just to name afew. also i prefer more towards matured games and graphics, compared to the colourful graphics of the ndsl...yes no doubt they are fun and creative but the lifespan of the games are usually not very long. lastly psp offers more than just a gaming console, as sometimes i treat it like a portable media player, music & video......and sometimes even surfing. (only if i really have to) Cheers~! |
