for beginner ..i suggest u to trade with virtual money..or demo..to built ur confident first..
then start using real money..
i also trade virtual money for 6 month b4 i start use real money.

marketiva is a very simple platform..
but to to the analysis ..i use meta trader..also free if u just open demo account

but first...invest in ur self first to get the knowledge about forex b4 u start trade real money...trust me, i've learn the hard way 

if u using marketiva...100usd u can start tradebut only using micro lot..

if u consider to trade using mini lot(500usd) or standart lot(1000usd)..

u got to have atleast 4k as ur free margin..to be on the safe side

marketiva is one of the forex broker..

broker offer demo account/ practice account for beginner..they give u 10k -50k virtual money and u can use that virtual money to trade in real market/ current market situation..with virtual money...if u loss..it will not effect u.

yup..thats the idea..to give u the feel of real market b4 u start to use real money..

4k is only my suggestion ..time by time, u will know the right amount u need to start trading

Ok if you are really serious in diving into the world of trading. Prepare for the hardwork and pain you are gonna endure. Am I scaring you    . I scare myself sometimes  But seriously, I would not be asking how much do I need for my seed capital, what I will be asking myself is , Will my capital gain value?How can I achieve this or will I just burn and blame everything else except myself .
Training is part of your development as a trader. I strongly believe paper trading is the best way to get started. You get to place trade with out losing molah of course you don't make real money too . I remember using OptionXPress and blowing my acc couple of times.   Once you are profitable for a period of time trading paper then move to live.By the way retail trader are called paper by floor people. There you will find more thing you need tackle and tune. And by the way trading is not like getting a degree IMO. Just my thoughts.

Saying is the easy part I can assure you. You're malaysian right not working I hope, Imagine sitting in front of the computer at 8.30pm to 4am, well depends if you wanna just trade the morning or afternoon sessions. Waiting sitting waiting, staring at the computer, tired then suddenly you see an entry, a chance ,you go for it, few minutes later the market move your way, you rejoiced, in the back of your head you imagine, you are walking to the bank tomorrow, then in one tick/minute, it reverses, you wanna bail out, hastily you send the close order,  you are not getting filled wtf you get whipsawed and cursing wtf happened. You said thats it for today, sleep. Tomorrow is a new day.Haha now that literature for ya. Yes it did happen.

Come on didn't you read my posts. What's with the if I got more money talk. If you can't be profitable with 1000k how are you going to with 100,000k. 
And passion IMO. Also please the best investment is yourself. Get a good education a degree, masters perhaps. Keep working on your training but don't forget about the importants of education. Still need to keep food on the table Damn now I sound like and old man which I am not.

Go to marketiva site and start reading , and try to understand what they are saying and trade with virtual first .
