So today I took a trip to Singapore and got myself a Laney IRT-Studio rack amp. You can google/youtube to see what it is.

I made the choice over IRT15H or jet city amps due to the tons of features, the multiple channels, 2 to 3..

Most importantly, I got it dirt cheap compared to the Malaysian dealers quoting me the price. I saved over 600 ringgit buying in Singapore even with the crappy exchange rate. I got it cheaper than what you can get the IRT15H compared to the IRT studio, even with the crappy exchange rate.. You pay less than Malaysian priced IRT15h and get a full featured IRT Studio instead.

You can imagine the amount of margins they're making here in Malaysia compared to Singapore.

Here're the list of guitar shops you should check out in Singapore, very easily all found in the basement B floor of Peninsula shopping complex and Peninsula excelsior hotel (Next to the Peninsula shopping complex)

I took CW2 express bus all the way to Bugis, took the MRT there and stop at City hall. (Only 1 stop)

Walk out to Stamford road, turn left and find NorthBridge road, walk straight until you see Funan Digital mall along Coleman Street, turn in that street and you can see the Peninsular buildings.

Total of only 3 to 5 minutes walk from City Hall MRT.

Shops you can find in these 2 buildings (All in the basement B floors)

1. SV Guitars
2. Davis Guitars.
3. Swee lee (Small branch, not main one)
4. WoodWorkz (if you wanna buy eminence speakers)
5. Sound Alchemy (For all your jet city amp needs)

I chose the Laney 15 watt head amps because they came with gig bags.. and easily.. EASILY able to hand carry over customs without problems.

If you're interested in the jet city, you need to bring along a large sports bag then put them in there.

That is all, enjoy your amp head shopping.

HNAD! I like how most of the SG guitar stores are centred in one area. Will always drop by the area whenever I pay a visit.

The list of shops i wrote down isn't complete. There's actually at least twice the number that I can't remember their names. Google maps of that area should provide complete list including 'walk-in' 3d panoramic view of some of the shops.

No lah, sharing cabinets. Both the purple wind and the laney sharing the Kustom cab. Only 1 active at a time.

Purple wind is because I want a plexi sound for miserable money without paying for a real sized amp *lol*.

Because my VT30 doesn't do plexi sound and the closest I have is a marshall classic stack from microcube, but too small cab.

I want a 1x12 cab sound.

Btw I got the purple wind for a steal because I bought direct from aliexpress from a store that isn't listed publicly. Paid less than 400 ringgit including shipping new.

Buy anywhere else in Malaysia or Singapore you'll have to pay over 500 ringgit for it.

Singapore have better choice and more competitive pricing, buying headphones in Singapore is also advisable.

Now the store in aliexpress disappeared already, maybe kena complain by other dealers for undercutting them.

Here's another ebay store with the last unit there..... slightly more expensive than what I paid but still cheaper than any sg/my dealer.
