If the rat is not handled from young/ used to hang out with ppl, then they are most likely to act like wild rats. They are just trying to protect themselves. You too wouldn't like it if some weird looking giant suddenly open your roof and touch you one day. Try to talk to them before putting your hands in, or bribe them with some treats.

Hey.. nice to see new people in this thread. I agree with you. This thread is very quiet, it hibernates sometimes.

Hey.. I've just found the perfect cage for rats. It's the 'rat resort' from hegan living world. Pets' lovers centre is now selling it with the complete starter kit. Everything is good except the bedding which is pine bedding. It comes with a bowl, a rat mix (can you believe it... finally... they are selling rats mix), a water bottle, a odor spray, vitamin, and some other things. The cage has levels with ramps too. That's really perfect for rats.

Adriane, why not you use the cage I am using? I find them very suitable for rats. Very spacious too.

bolehreptiles is tikusniaga.

If Mid Valley then the top floor got Pets Wonderland pet shop. There got fancy mice, satin and normal but its pricey. It's around RM6 onwards. If go petaling street or get from supplier is cheaper. Around RM3 onwards or some even sell it for less if get in huge bulk.

Hi guys!

I've been looking everywhere for pet rats, please tell me if you know where I can find them cos I really love keeping them as pets but it's just so hard to find them here in Malaysia. I'm staying in Subang Jaya so shops and breeders from a neighboring area would be really helpful! (:

I saw the petshops at Pudu selling them at RM4 each, very nice markings. But i've never owned rats before, i have 1 GP (3 yrs old) and 2 RES (1 yr old). Not sure if my parents will be happy with rats tongue.gif
